The "world cup" one did it for me. Of course that's in a place where it's "us" against "them". Thus, the anthem is taken more seriously then at a local sporting event.
The Clarkson version, to me it was more of a "performance" then a song to honor our country. I myself could "jazz" it up like that too. Seriously, i could. But i didn't feel that was the place to do something like that. I mean, we all know Kelly can sing, has a pretty voice. I would have been more impressed if she would have sang it "normal". That's just my opinion, of course, for what it's worth.
Mass......i respect the position of President, no matter who is the guy in office. Even if i don't agree with the guy's position on things. If i saw Obama, i would not be disrespectful. I wouldn't scream obcenities at him, or do anything to show disrespect. I can respect the position, if not the actual person. If i met him, i would shake his hand and call him "Mr. President".
That's the way it SHOULD be.
Is America perfect? Nope. It never was, and never will be. But it's MY country, and in my view the best in the world. Again, just my opinion. I know there are those that disagree with me on this.
