Tim knows just about everyone in Mifflin county. I can attest to this, as it was virtually impossible to go more than five feet at that Amish market without him running into friends or family.
A friend of his passed away. He owned that land. It is over 800 acres. He was friends with the wife as well. She sold it to Tim and his brother for 70,000.00
Tim's brother is in the timber business, along with having a lodge in Alaska.
They had the property very lightly timbered. Hardwood on a small percentage of the property. The timber company put the roads in, cleared the lot for the "camp", even put in the parking and dug the foundation.
For the priviledge, they paid Tim and his brother 600,000.00
That was 15 years ago.
I can't even tell where they timbered, except where one road "gave out".
They pay for shit as they go with the dividends from the remaining profit from that timbering. He is out-of-pocket absolutely NOTHING, even on a continuous basis...
On that note I'm going over to his garage and drink his fucking beer while he is up in Alaska, lol
