Regardless of whether or not he was involved, if he wants to survive in Goodell's NFL he shouldn't be at a nightclub period. To be honest, I hate his conduct policy. One of it's goals is to hopefully turn players into better role models by punishing them. However, all his punishments do is air out everyone's baggage and makes everyone look worse: players, the league, and teams. I feel that letting the team handle it behind closed doors is the best way to go through with it. That way players can focus more on rehabilitation or helping themselves then the pressure and stress of being a good role model. Not to mention that if a player breaks the law, the courts will decide a just punishment. The only exception to this I feel is Michael Vick because that was some serious shit lol.

I mean let's say a player does something "bad." First you hear about it. Then journalists start making broad accusations and developing opinions without basis. After that people start the "What will Goodell do?" chants. Discussion heats up and people began to focus more on the court case, they began digging up and airing dirty laundry about the players, and the whole thing begins to drag out in a large mess.

Without the Goodell rule it'd be you'd hear about it, talk about it and in a week or so everyone would forget. The court would still issue out it's legal punishment. In addition the team, as the players employer, could choose to discipline him. Now it just drags out for months.

Ugh, stupid rambling. I'm so tired I hope some of this makes sense lol...

In defense of Randall Cunningham, Cunningham actually could throw the ball. Michael Vick couldn't hit the side of a barn.

Cunningham's '98 campaign was brilliant. Granted, he had 2 Hall of Fame WRs in Moss and Carter, but still. He threw 34 TDs vs 10 INTs and ran very little that year.

Personality aside, I still wouldn't want Vick as QB. He's too one dimensional. His accuracy is poor and relies entirely on his athleticism. He completes passes by surprising everyone that he's actually throwing the ball.

That is exaclty what I was talking about. Bryce Popp busted up Randall's knee when he was an Eagle. When he came back he developed into a dangerous pocket passer that could run if he needed to. Before that, he was more dangerous as a runner than a passer.

He was out of football when the Vikes called him up. I think he was installing granite countertops at the time. He took the team to 15-1 or something and got bounce in the first round by a sucky team. Maybe Atlanta or someone.

If Vick took the time to learn how to be a real QB, I think he could be pretty good. Instead he throws the ball pretty good, for a mediocre running back.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.

I don't think Vick is that bad of a QB but I can't say because I never really watched him. When I did he seemed too eager to run which I think stopped him from properly planting his feet for a throw. I feel that if he actually tried to stand back in the pocket a bit he could actually throw it. As far as I remember he has a pretty strong arm but shaky accuracy.

Dude needs to stay home. It's kinda hard to get into the kind of trouble he's been in when you stay home. Unless the dog fighting ring is at your house.

I'd rather get really drunk and play Mario Kart Wii than go to some club full of people packing heat. I had a flawless Rainbow Road while drunk on the night Vick's party took place. I'd say my night was much more productive, and Goodell can't suspend me.

beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
