Quite possibly.

We are an elite team. Assuming our OL problems are resolved, there is no reason why we can't be a top 3 O, possibly even #1 in '10. Grant is solid and he doesn't fumble. Aaron may be the #1 fantasy QB AGAIN. We got some of the best WR depth in the NFL. We got good TEs.

Our D is a pass rusher away from being elite. Woody got Defensive Player of the Year and Collins is elite as well. We were #1 against the run last year. IMO, our weakness was our pass rush.

Simply stated, we have as much chance as anyone to win it all next year.

Dakota - You don't have to be a complete team to win the SB. You just have to find ways to win games.

Let's look at the previous SB winners.

'09 Saints - Best O in the NFL. 23rd D. Their D though always got takeaways in crucial moments. They'd also all year long go into the 2nd half with a deficit and somehow pull out a victory. They simply found ways to win, all year long.

'08 Steelers - Opposite of the Saints. #1 D, #20 O. The O wasn't that good. Ben R had a whopping 17 TDs vs 15 INTs. They didn't even have a 800 yard RB. But their D was sick. Never allowed that many points and because of that, the O had to do "just enough" and that's it.

That SB was decided on one play - 1st and goal at the Steelers' 1 yard line, quick pass picked off and returned for a TD. Steelers go on to win by 4 points.

'07 Giants - This team got hot in the Playoffs. In regular season, we took them over our knees and spanked them. Then in the Playoffs, they simply won games. The team came together as a team and won games against "better" teams. The Cows were better. We were better. The Patriots were better. They beat 3 teams in a row that were better teams.

So am I too worried about our holes? Not really. Everyone's got 'em. We just now have to find ways to win.

Back to Rodgers being tough,

I didn't agree when people doubted his toughness. The way I saw it, he broke his foot early in his appearance in Dallas, and he went on to have a great game. His only other injury was so minor that if he was not just a backup, he would have started, and probably played very well.

I know I don't have the post history to tell anybody I told you so. But if I were here before last year, I would say... I told you so.

Oh, he also kicks Favres ass as the best 2 consecutive years as a Packers QB. Not even first 2 year. Any two consecutive years as a Packer.

I definitely was concerned about him being fragile and injury prone when he did have those injuries during his limited play time, but I don't equate those two words to have anything to do with toughness. For all we know, and after what we have seen, he probably would have played the following weeks on those injuries.

Curious about how the topic came up for Nagler to write about it, are there people still commenting about him not being tough?

The two major injuries Rodgers sustained as a pro, I'll comment on. :)

First time was against the Patriots. A team that knocked our starting QB (who holds the streak for longest consecutive starts in the NFL as we all know) broke a bone in his foot in which he played most of if not the entire second half with. He was then shelved (maybe thrown on IR?) for the season.

Second time he tweaked/pulled his hamstring in practice after the Cowboys game. The doctor, head coach and Aaron said he could have started the next week if he needed to, but shelved him for the year to be on the safe side since he wasn't the starter.

Understanding the whole scope, or at least a good portion of it, I don't know how anyone could have thought Rodgers was injury prone. If you look at his numbers sure it looks bad if you don't know the story behind it.

It was a huge concern when Aaron became our starter because of past injuries in very limited playing time. I'm so very, very happy he's been able to stay reasonably healthy. Let's hope it continues.

Thats what I meant. I got the teams backwards. The tweaked Hammie after Dal and the foot was in NE where he finished the game after he broke it.

I think he never has missed a game as a starter in College or High school.
I will have to check on that to be sure.
