I'm more under the impression that they're vampires. Lifeless, soulless creatures only interested in preying our blood (or hard-earned tax money).

Think McShay will take him up on the offer? I would if I was him. How can you pass up a chance like that? Watch film with a professional athlete, a Green Bay Packer to boot?

Why would he.. what possibly could one gain from it other than knowledge itself.

And if McShay acknowledges he learned a great deal.. it will only discount his credibility on past statements and tarnish his work to that date.

You know Aaron would expose anything he didn't know.. or why else the challenge?

Why wouldn't he? It's a helluva a opportunity. He can learn something that would make him a BETTER analyst. Why would you freaking pass up on getting BETTER at your job?!?!

Because he a puppet head that would have to admit that he didn't know the principles and that he may have incorrectly rated a player in the past.

Would I do it.. hell yes.. in a freaking heartbeat.. but I would jump at the opportunity from even someone as an assistant coach...

I think, for someone like McShay, that has little to no credentials to effectively hold the job he currently does.. it would be a career risk to walk into a session like that and be exposed for what he doesn't know but should when projecting talent from college to the pros.

If he's exposed for what he doesn't know, that means he's just learned something and would have the benefit of learning how to watch film ... like a professional athlete.

I just don't see how this is negative. This is a great opportunity, not negative. Aaron is not the type who's going to say 'haha i had dude in the film room and ... bro guess what ... he knows SQUAT!!' ... Aaron just isn't that kind of guy. At worst I bet he'd say "it was a great experience and they both learned a little from one another," then he'd smile an say "of course he learned a lot more from me. ;)"

Do you really believe Aaron would be the only one present?

Second.. why offer the challenge if it is not to make a point?

I don't think it is a negative overall.. I think it would benefit McShay personally.. but it is also a risk to his current gig if he flops like a 3 day old tuna out of water...

McShay, Kiper.. men of their ilk have it made.. why would they step into a room that has any risk of them being exposed for lacking knowledge?

They are like teflon right now.. nothing sticks to them.. no matter how far off their analysis is.. they get in front of the viewing public.. give an opinion and throw some of the hot terms around.. and repeat it year after year.. some gig.

Just my opinion.

Do you guys really expect guys like Todd/Mel to correctly predict how every single NFL draftee is going to pan out?

Nope.. Actually I expect very little out of them.. they are a glorified fan whom has been elevated to sell a product.. coverage of the NFL draft.

I don't expect my GM and scouts to hit every time either.. but I have more confidence in their evaluation matching up with my teams scheme and needs than some window dressing that never has been a pro scout or established some credibility in there work.

McShay to me... comes off as very phony and lacking.. looking at his background that is amplified.

But he comes off like his word is the gospel.

Can you tell I don't care for him or Kiper.. lol.

Zero2Cool (3h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (7h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (7h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (8h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (8h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (8h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (8h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (9h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (9h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (9h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (9h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (9h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (9h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (9h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (9h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (9h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (11h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (11h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (11h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
