I started when my daughter was in Brownies. (6-7 yrs old?) They had a father daughter dance. I hated it. Can't dance. But it grew from there. That means I started long before sex was on her radar scope and we just incorporate that in later.

Seems like you are doing a great job. I just have a couple things to add that might help. You ever think about making a facebook for yourself so you can add Lydia as a friend on it? It will help you keep an eye on her page and such. When it comes to the relationship status on facebook at that age, I wouldn't look so much into it until you talk to her about it. My 13 year old brother and his friends have a new relationship with someone different on facebook like every week just as a joke. They are usually just pretend relationships. I didn't read every post so this question might have been answered. Did you ask her about what she was going to do with those pictures? Were they just for her own entertainment?

One of the conditions for her to have facebook is for her to have myself and her mother on it.

I told her the pictures itself are not that large of a concern for me, granted I'm not thrilled they were on the internet in the fashion they were, but really its not a big deal to me.

After our talk Monday she asked her friend to remove them from her profile page and not to put them on the internet again. Why did she say that? She told me she asked for that because she didn't want people thinking she was sleezy and because she said they were just trying to have fun.

if she really wants a boyfriend THAT bad, and you want to have a good relationship with her, ask her to bring him over every now and again, but first, meet him personally, talk to him, tell him if he hurts her, you hurt him, intimidate him so he WONT do anything bad. Once again, have a serious talk to him, almost a father to son, but not quite, make sure he isnt a bad kid, ask him about the sports he does, his grades, and talk to his parents
