Here's something a little bit more fun. Which one of these drafts was the best? I didn't pick a year too early as they will be before my time, but not as recent as 1990, we have too many people who are ineligible for the Hall because they either played too recently or are still playing in the NFL.
1975 - Hall of Famers Walter Payton, Randy White, and Fred Dean
1981 - Lawrence Taylor, Ronnie Lott, Mike Singletary, Howie Long. Wow! One of the best Defensive drafts ever.
1983 - 6 Hall of Famers in the first round - John Elway, Eric Dickerson, Bruce Matthews, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, and Darrell Green. So many of those guys played for what seemed like forever.
1989 - Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders, Derrick Thomas, Deion Sanders (who is not in the Hall yet as he's ineligible for playing too recently, but he's guaranteed to make it in his first year of eligibility)
