He might be agoodfree agent tosign and help the Packer transistion from Harris and Woodson to the next starting CB's yet to be drafted.

Vasher against Jennings in the season opener didn't look good. But I think we should still sign him if we can't draft a CB in the first three rounds. But not before the draft.

Ya go to camp with 80... if he signs cheap enough... I think there would be room on that 80 to give him a shoot.

But in a league starved for pass defenders... I would imagine him finding a home for more than cheap pay. lol.

The bears do not want to pay him starter money, if he comes at a good price, i would love to see him as the nickel/dime(depending on how harris is doing). He's a young guy and could resurrect his career playing behind the packer's pro-bowl corners. However, i bet he gets starter money on some corner-starved team.

I am not a fan of Vasher. He is hurt to often and hasn't produced in a few years (even while getting thrown at). With the age and injuries at the CB position (Harris, Lee, Blackmon) Vasher is far from a "sure thing". He got away with poor tackling and poor gambles because he made plays. Well, those plays he once made are long gone (except for opposing teams scoring on him) and if they weren't the Bears wouldn't let him go in a division with Jennings, Driver, Rice, Harvin and "Mega-Tron" Calvin Johnson.

I would much rather take my chances on a rookie I could develop and has upside over a injury prone vet like Vasher.

Manning on the other hand would have value, especially as a return man and I like his versatility in the secondary (CB/S). But I don't see Thompson adding any FA this off season.

Vasher is not a very good CB. I hear my Chicago buddies complain all the time.

However, we do need something after Tramon because the dropoff after him is HUGE.
