Jets to sign quarterback Matt Flynn

With just one punch, the New York Jets were in sudden need of help at quarterback. Their solution to that problem appears to be veteran free agent quarterback Matt Flynn. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Jets have agreed to sign Flynn to a one-year deal. Flynn was released by the New England Patriots...

Look at Josh McCown, a horrible QB for like 11 years then completely out of the league a year has like 5 good games and gets signed to be a starter but flops miserably yet still gets 5m and is considered a top back up. That's why I'm usually on the train of having a prospect at back up rather than the "experienced vet free agent" who has done nothing but prove they are awful on 4 or 5 different teams.

I am always suspicious of a team that signs a divisional rival's castoff. Like the Jets are more interested in what he knows about the Pats' offense than about how good he can play.

Not to turn this post in another direction, but this signing and the comments seriously ask why the F%ck Tim Tebow couldn't get a job these past couple of years at least as a back up?
