Yeah boy Finland sure kicked some Belarus ass today. Mikko Koivu and Niklas "Pikku Hakki" Hagman are amazing players.

Well Canada's in a bit of an uproar that we needed a shootout to beat the Swiss but feel better since the Rissians lost. I was a bit happy for the Swiss as their coach is from my hometown. Actually a bunch of their team were Canadians, go figure.

HUGE win for the US over the Canucks in hockey tonight! What great hustle on that empty net goal by Kesler! Now the US has a 'bye' before the quarterfinals, which should give them help. They'll need it.

But knocking off Canada, the 'powerhouse' in their own house was AWESOME!!

we've been enjoying the olympics this year. the boys cheer like crazy for the usa - it's cool.

olympics shouldn't be about politics, nationalism, or whatever other crap you guys are whining about - it's pure athleticism & competition. enjoy it for what it is & let go of the other stuff - sheesh!!!

I don't know much about ice hockey, but I do know one thing. If you guys win this tournament, your goalie deserves 2 medals.

This game was so skewed towards Canada, that it's amazing that the final score was in the US' favor. Miller was the one who made that happen. It could've easily been 10 - 4 instead of 3 - 5 if you didn't have such a great goalie.

Oh, man. Was that a dagger through the heart of the Netherlands... And at the Olympics. That was absolutely horrible.

Kemkers (the coach) shouted Kramer to take the inner lane, after he already had the inner one before the switch, which meant he got disqualified.

And he was cruising towards the gold and an olympic record.

I feel your pain. those little mess ups really drive me crazy. Back in the Seoul Olympics they changed the event times for the boxers and didn't tell anyone. They just posted in on the wall. Several kids who had a great chance to medal lost out when they showed up late. It frequent happens in track as well.
