Sell

They've improved from being the worst line in the NFL to just being below average. I think on the road in the playoffs they'll revert back to their former selves unless the coaches actually call some short passes and screens to hold the pass rush back.

No women's breasts, but I did take their graphs and make my graph, lol

A "more simpler" thing to look at, same data, but one position, our team, pertinent players...

Thanks for this foster, a genuinely useful contribution to the forum.

It really shows how we've been lacking quality tackle play all season. I just hope we can do enough to survive through the playoffs. I suspect our Guard play has been better over the season.

Weirdly Barbre is the RT with the most 'above average' games. If he can stop the multiple sack performances then maybe he has some use down the road. They're talking about him as a fill in LT due to his athleticism. Maybe he will be used as a backup swing tackle next year?

Sell.
Although the OL has made positive improvement since the 1st half of the season inconsistant play and lack of depth are a huge concern.
I'm afraid that we are an injury or two away from disaster due to lack of depth, specifically at the center position.

This is not the same OL that earned the bad rep at the beginning of the season. Tauscher is back, Clifton is "healthy", Lang is ready to play any position in need of help, Barbre doesn't see the field anymore, etc.

37 sacks in the first 8 games of the year (4.6 per game) has turned into 12 in the last 7 (1.7 per game) with 2 or less in each of the last 6 games (8 sacks in last 6 games = 1.3 sacks per game). The graph below makes the trend very apparent.

I'm buying them being good enough to win. The Packers are #4 in the NFL measured in yards per game, with a matching #4 ranking in the NFL in points per game. That is just not possible without decent line play. It's not just amazing skill players constantly overcoming a total shit line. They deserve some credit for that, and for the 11-5 record.

In 5 losses this year, the Packers have averaged 27 points and the opponents have averaged 35. That shows that the problems have not been on offense when they lose, generally speaking.

I don't know where you got that, but we gave up three sacks against Chicago and we're 10-5 not 11-5. Otherwise, fair points.

edit: three sacks at Chicago instead of two, thought that might need clarification

I'm too tech challenged to do it myself, but I'd love to see what the comparable charts look like for OG and C. My guess is that Sitton looks real good, but that the rest are not. But that's gut feeling, not stats.

As far as 11-5, give it time. :thumbleft:
