Watching that video was just good fun. We have so many playmakers on this team. If they can just pull it together and sustain a solid run, they are a team to be feared.

Some things I noticed:

On the play in which Aaron Rodgers ran for a first down and slid at the end of it, it looked to me from the rear angle that he might have had a touchdown if he had angled a little to the left rather than turning to the right as he chose to do. I didn't see a single white jersey between him and the end zone. I can't fault his decision, though; he got the yardage he needed and staved off any chance of injury from a tackle from the side or from behind.

I know I've said this before, but there are times Rodgers' mechanics look eerily like Favre's. On that one touchdown pass to Jermichael Finley (around 7:50 on the video), Rodgers rolls to his right, throws across his body, without planting his feet and with no hip involvement whatsoever. Watching that, I had an overwhelming sense of de ja vu. I know I tend to downplay the role Favre had in schooling Rodgers, but either they have very similar body structures or Rodgers (consciously or unconsciously) models his mechanics on his predecessor.

And finally, when has a team ever been so lucky to have such a prolonged period of excellent quarterback play? The transition between quarterbacks has not only been seamless, quarterback production has actually improved! Only one other team comes to mind that has enjoyed such an excellent succession -- the 49ers.

Do you realize Rodgers is on pace to throw 33 touchdowns this year and run for 4 more? Has there ever been an NFL quarterback who scored 37 touchdowns in his second year starting? I think it's unprecedented.

I think Dan Marino is the only one. He had 48 td passes in his second year. He started 11 games his rookie year.

48 TD passes. That's phenomenally absurd. 😃

I know we've been lucky when it comes to QBs. We've had almost 20 years of solid starting QBs. Ha just think what it like to be the bears...

thanks Zero good to see this again.

Nonstop, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the replay this evening. I don;t know if he does it all the time,. I have not noticed it before. (actually I mentioned to my wife during the game on an earlier TD that he has better mechanics the Brent.

Overall, his mechanics are unquestionably better, or at least more conventional, than Favre's. But I noticed it last season, and I'm noticing it more and more this season, there are quite a few plays where he throws traditional technique to the winds and just improvises. And when he does that, there's just something about the snap of his body, the motions he makes, even the angles he takes, that I forget for a moment who we have behind center.

Love Tirico's playcall on Flacco interception in the endzone:

"Flacco rolls out to his right...buys time...throws across his body. That is awful!"

Can't say enough about Woodson's incredible diving shoestring tackle on the goal line just before that play. Simply incredible and probably saved the Pack seven points.
