I'm actually hoping Ryan and Turner are alright. I'd much rather earn the WC spot instead of slide into it because the other team is so beaten up.

Heh. The irony that da Bears have a shot at being spoilers for us. Kind of worried it may be a trap game. Lovie Smith hates us and will do everything in his power to win that game.

There is no such thing as 'sliding into the playoffs'.

At the end of the season the playoff teams are the playoff teams.

From then its a new season and each team has a shot - any given sunday.

And anyway, I'd rather 'slide in' than not be there at all and let another team 'slide in' instead of us.

I know British. I'm just saying, I'd rather both of them being 100%, then beating them.

I don't care if they lose their whole starting lineup. It won't make me feel any different about the Packers making the playoffs if they do.

We lost 2 of our better players on a defense that we just implemented this year and replaced them with Jarrett Bush and a rookie 7th rounder. I have no sympathy for another teams injuries.

Agreed.... A couple things I was hoping for this season was to sweep the Bears and beat the Cowboys. The other was to make the playoffs. I didn't dare think any further ahead than that. The Cowboys goal has happened and now the Bears sweep is next. I don't care if they have none of their starters playing either.

Once we get into the playoffs it's going to get a lot tougher. The way the team is coming together right now gives me hope we can go 11-5 and be a strong contender in the post season. I just wish Al and Kamp were still playing. I would feel a lot more confident.

Yes, especially considering if we make it to the Championship Game, we'd most likely be facing Favre or Brees. Both are elite QBs and both will attempt to exploit our 3rd CB.

We could also use Kampy on the DL, which I'm sure Capers would have done more as in the last few games Kampy played, I remember him lining up on the line every once in awhile.

here is a cute link NFL.com had - if the season ended today

That link was made obsolete by the Monday Night game.

With the Patriots Loss, San Diego moved ahead of the Bengals for 2nd place. It changed back and forth as game were completed Sunday.

The Chargers and Bengals are tied in record, Conference Record, Strength of Victory. Strength of Schedule is now the difference .463 for the Chargers and .430 for the Bengals. A Packer win against the Bucanneers would have helped the Bengals......

Key games for playoff positioning next week other than Ravens at Lambeau, are Cowboys at Giants, Eagles at Falcons, Texans at Jaguars.

That's one scary thought.

If we slip in with the nr. 5 spot and win in the wild card round, we'll most likely see the Vikings in the divisional round. Or if we get in with the 6th seed, we'll have to go up against the Saints.

And if we where to win that game, we'd most likely face the Saints or Vikings in the Championship game, like you said, only to go to the SB and most likely meet another scary QB in Phillip Rivers, Peyton Manning or maybe even Carson Palmer.

We better start shutting down some QBs in that case, lol. At least Bell should be able to help us a little.

Getting into the playoffs is the first big step, once The Packers are there then it becomes a whole different ballgame.

No one knows what will happen when it comes to the playoffs, but the experience alone for this team in invaluable for the future.

Remember it took Holmgrem 5 years before he got the team to The Superbowl.

Add Kurt Warner to that list of elite QBs we might be facing in the CG. I don't think it's an argument any more that Warner will go into the Hall of Fame.
