It might be the toughest thing to get right in football. It is not ALWAYS the most important thing, but it is ALWAYS damn close to it.
The Steelers overcame the loss of Faneca and won a SuperBowl.
Barely. It didn't hurt that no one can tackle Ben. I would submit that were that not the case, they wouldn't have even sniffed a SuperBowl.
And then you look where Faneca wound up.
Enough said, there.
I have not paid any attention to Faneca this year, so I could easily be a bit off-base on him.
I do know that the Steelers missed him... a LOT.
