The Vikings are better period.

Admit it and accept it and then I think people can start thinking more clear. You can't deny it.

Brett Favre owns Dom Capers. It's clear Capers can't figure him out. Watch the 96 NFC Title game and even the 06 game against Miami if you remember, Favre just beats the blitzburgh system. He dominates it because he's so good at moving in the pocket without moving that much. Just a little shuffle here and he's got a lane. He's got the best pocket presence of maybe any QB in to ever play the game.

Great game by Favre. Again, give credit when it's due. He's great and maybe good (sarcasm). This game meant a lot to him and that clearly showed. Favre is my MVP after eight weeks and of course he's an outstanding player.

On the Packers side

Mark Tauscher needs to get in there soon. I thought Allen Barbre looked terrible again. He was thrown around quite easily by Ray Edwards who is a solid, but not a great pass rusher.

10 rushes by Grant, but that had to do with falling behind by 21 points like the Packers did. Roders played well in the second half. It's amazing that the Packers replaced Favre as well as they did with Rodgers. To bad other phases of the team isn't on the same level as Aaron Rodgers.

He did hold the ball too long on a few plays in the first half, but the playcalling was unnecessary on them as well. The 3rd and one sack Troy Aikman got on Rodgers about is an example of that. McCarthy thought to himself all week that I called draws on 3rd and one before so maybe I'll fool them here.

I hate shotgun formation on 3rd and one.

Defensively, Green Bay is an unknown. I think they're getting better, but I also think Capers can't figure out Favre. As I said before, Favre owns Capers. 3rd and 17 and he drops everyone and rushed three. Are you kidding me?

Johnny Jolly made what could've been the worst mistake I've ever seen. Not necessary at all and know matter what was said. Game changing penalty.

McCarthy's gameplan was not good offensively, but he adjusted well in the second half and they did some things. The Packers were down 24-3 when they got the ball for the first time in the 2nd half. They started to get things going.

The defense did not.

I know people want to see someone pay for Favre beating GB in purple, but the fact remains, this is just one game. The division is now done and GB will now play for a wild-card, but it's not without question the Packers can get there. I think out of all the teams competing for a wild card in the NFC, Green Bay has the best QB.

They should get by Tampa next week and get to 5-3. That Dallas game is going to be big too. That could decide whether or not they sneak into the playoffs.

Our pass rush was so ugly. I still cant stand seeing Woodson blitz on 3rd and obvious pass.

The unbalanced attack shows that it hurts Aaron once again. Passing 40+ times is bad. Ryan Grant needs more carries to be productive.

Special teams gets an F for the day.

Good job by the front 7 against Peterson and Taylor.

The Vikings are who we thought they were. Our offense didn't show up AT ALL for the entire first half. If they do, we win.
The defense did NOT lose this game. Favre got the ball at midfield about 10 times this game. This is due to the offense not showing up for the first two quarters.
The Packers offense looked like a Chinese fire drill. Again.

Agreed on all points, porky. Barbre was pretty bad. He was so awful in the first game of the season that I think his mediocre performance in later games looked better than it really was.

The ZBS just hasn't worked for this team, and right now it is really blowing up in our faces. It's interesting that our best O-lineman this season is Josh Sitton, who is also the biggest and the most non-ZBS-type lineman.

Percy Harvin absolutely killed us today. You might even say that he was the difference in the game. Just like with Randy Moss, the Vikings gambled on a player with character issues, and at least in the short term, the gamble is paying off in a big way.

Favre does deserve props. It was another near-perfect game for him. Tip of the hat and let's move on.

Did we watch the same game? If not for the first bad snap which cost Min 3 points and the crazy fumble by Robinson in the 2nd half which totally changed the momentum, two big time lucky plays. If not for these, it's a total blowout, even more than it was.

McCarthy and Capers each need to be taken out behind the wood shed. They both came in with the same game plan that didn't work in MN, why did they think it would work today.

Offensively we were not sticking to the run and running patters 15 yards down field, and not giving either of our young tackles any help. Defensively, we were going to stop Peterson forgetting about the pass rush.

We came out early in the second half and changed. We were running shorter routes, and we moved the ball. We started to work at getting to Brett and we forced two almost INTs back to back.

Had McCarthy and Capers come out in the first half with the second half gameplan. We would have moved the ball better, and performed better on defense, and also would have improved the field position battle.

No pressure on Favre. Another 4 td's and zero int's. Came into the game with the same gameplan that did NOT work the first time. You're talking about the Minn/GB game right?

Capers came with the same game plan as last time? Really?

Early on Capers showed he was going to bring the blitz to try and get to the QB. Yeah, well if the blitz is getting anywhere near home, you've got gaps that Favre can exploit all day with the likes of Harvin, All Day, Rice, and Berrian.

Quite simply, our players on D did NOT win the individual match-ups. When you bring pressure, but it is picked up and neutralized by the opposing team then you change things up. Like last time, when the pressure was not getting home, Capers scaled back and decided to increase the players in coverage so that Favre would at least face more of a difficulty throwing than he would with 5 Packers coming on the blitz but not getting anywhere near him.

That said, rushing only 3 on 3rd and 17 was clearly not the right call. I'll wait for an explanation for that - for all we know, Capers called in a blitz, but Winston Moss did not communicate the right call to the players. Or perhaps someone got thee play called mixed up with another play. But that 3 man rush on a clear pass was not something I expect from Dom Capers.
