Non issue.

I'll see your Swain and raise you Antoine Winfield!!!!!!!

They're going to be hurting more than we will when it comes to our pass offense vs. their pass defense.

we got jake allen on the PS. i'm sure he could step in as the third WR if necessary.

Jake Allen's no slouch either. He's got skills. Probably can return kicks/punts too. Dude is a legit #3, maybe more. Of course thanks to Ted Thompson we're all world at the position.

Talk about placing unrealistic expectations on a guy! Jake Allen a legit #3? Maybe on the KR depth chart with all the injuries we have to our top two KRs.

The problem is that Jordy is now our main Return guy. You can't put him on IR. Swain has shown to be a solid ST player. Finley is a dynamic player. Which one of the three do you put on IR to sign Allen? Tough choice, probably Swain but you lose something in the ST dept.

Allen is probably my choice to get the call up. Unless Antonio Freeman wants to come out of retirement that is.

We had 10 plus receivers that went through camp.. we should be able to pull one or two in to fill in the limited snaps they will see and some Special Teams duty.

Finley is the one cog that will hurt the most because of the match up problems he provides us.. hopefully he isn't going to be down long.

Havner played well in relief.. that could be a blessing in disguise in the long run.. more flexibility in play calling.

If we do pull in a receiver I hope they can provide some options in the return game.. Williams keeps dancing like that he is going to get hurt.. love the effort but dude you are to vital to this defense.

Woodson is such a great athlete that I believe they could also use him as a wide receiver.
I wouldn't be surprised if the work on it a little bit this week.
I'm willing to bet he lobbies for the chance.

Excellent thought yooper. I could actually see it happening this time 'round.

All right. I'm guilty of green and gold lenses too, but this is going a little far.

Jones and Jordy do circles around Allen. I'm glad we got him on PS, don't get me wrong. But I think Ruvell Martin was better than Allen.

We will be fine though. Hope to see more of James Jones, who I think is underrated.

I don't know how good Jake Allen is because unlike some people here, I haven't seen him play a NFL game, ... YET!!! 🙂

We should be good vs the Vikings, just need the 4 WR to perform like they did against the browns. Last time we were caught having a bad first quarter of the season but things are turning for good and confidence is returning to the Packers Locker room. Havner did a pretty good job against the browns he could line up as WR even though he is a TE.

Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice

beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool

Zero2Cool (9-Aug) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
dfosterf (8-Aug) : Apparently it is too complicated for several to follow your simple instructions, but I digress
