Lets not forget NFL Europe.. A few games there a year should be fine, IMO.

I don't think a franchise here would succeed. First and foremost because of the problems that come with the travelling between England and the US.
Secondly because having a team that'll play 16/18 matches, of which 8/9 at home, is totally different than 1 game a year. First of all, the home crowd has to be willing to go 8 times a year. Doesn't sound like much, but with the prices, I asume people will go about once or twice a year. It's going to be challenging to find the fans for every single game.
Thirdly, and kind of related, is the fans travelling with their teams. I don't know to what extend the English would travel to the US and vice versa.
And as to a SB in the UK... I don't see that happening. I can see the riots already. You can't take something that sacred from the Americans. Financially it wouldn't make a lot of sense for the NFL either. And lastly, the weather usually isn't as nice.
