Every week we make some less-than-premium player look like an All Star. I read that the Lions were so depleted on their defensive line that they were lining up backup offensive linemen? Is this true?

Maybe it's time to line B.J. Raji next to Lang.

Yeah that's a TERRIBLE list of players right there. 3 out of those 5 are pretty damn good at their job.

I'm not disagreeing that these are quality pass rushers, I just thought these stats I compiled might shed some light on how much better we make people look...

YTD Sacks / Games Played
Adewale Ogunleye: 4.5 / 5
Antwan Odom: 8 / 6
Leonord Little: 4 / 6
Jared Allen: 7.5 / 6
Julian Peterson: 3.5 / 6

Average sacks per game / Sacks against Packers / Season record, sacks in a single game
Adewale Ogunleye: 0.9 / 2 / 2.5 (vs DET)
Antwan Odom: 1.333 / 5 / 5 (vs GB, next best 2 vs Denver)
Leonord Little: 0.666 / 2 / 2(vs GB, next best 1 vs 2 opponents)
Jared Allen: 1.25 / 4.5 / 4.5 (vs GB, next best 1 vs 3 opponents)
Julian Peterson: 0.583 / 2.5 / 2.5 (vs GB, next best 1 vs PIT)

And finally, Sacks against packers minus average sacks/game
Adewale Ogunleye: 1.1
Antwan Odom: 3.666
Leonord Little: 1.333
Jared Allen: 3.25
Julian Peterson: 1.917

My point is ... we have a terrible OL and when you put quality pass rushers against bullshit, they will shine. We seen it. Again. Again. Again and again. And guess what? We'll see it AGAIN!

It's not as if they were on the practice squad and then blasted us for a pair or more of sacks then went into hibernation. Let's try to remember other teams have better OL and when you see someone toast someone else, umm, you game plan against that person!

We do the same thing, but our game plan, well, you can't execute a game plan with players that can't play the game without seeing yellow.

Thanks for the stats, love stats!

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with you here. Statistically speaking, the only players we've made look like gods versus us are Jared Allen and Odom. Half of the reason I gathered those stats was out of personal curiosity, I was surprised by Odom and Allen (although those are arguably the two best pass rushers in the NFL, even if you take away the GB game).

Thanks for the stats, love stats!

Probably not. I don't think he's activated often, is he? I have no clue.

I am confident Kamerion Wimbley will get a pair of sacks though.

If they knew who they were supposed to block when the blitz comes, they'd be way better. I don't think they necessarily flat out suck.
