With Jonathan Scott questionable with a sprained ankle, the Buffalo Bills might start Jamon Meredith at right tackle against the New York Jets on Sunday.

If that happens, Meredith would be the third rookie starter on an offensive line that already includes guards Eric Wood and Andy Levitre. Throw in second-year left tackle Demetrius Bell and the Bills could have four linemen on the field who hadn't taken an NFL snap until this season.

If this guy starts and does well I'm going to be really pissed. We keep three fullbacks and try to sneak two players with such deep potential on the practice squad?

Chances are good that he's going to play awfully.

Not even a full offseason, an extremely raw prospect anyway, and possible attitude issues will make it difficult to expect him to dominate.

But the very best of luck. Even if he turns out to be the biggest draft steal of the century, I would hesitate to place any blame on the Packers - he really is unpolished at this stage and anything could happen.

In other words, I'm sure the Bills would prefer to have their regular starter instead of Meredith.

Thing with this kid, kind of a rap on him, is that he practiced like Jane and played like Tarzan in college.. opposite of most.. that said, I expect and up and down performance from him.. he has the physical tools.. weak on technique and fundamentals.

This kid would be fun to hand over to a solid experienced line coach and let him mold him..

I was being positive.. ;)

More so, they say he is very raw, and in the limited footage I watched of him there are some flaws in this footwork and balance. Things that can be taught..

Especially if you consider that that exact same coach and team developped an undrafted TE and made him one of the best tackles in the league.

It's going to hurt if he'll go out there and play like Tauscher, who was supposed to be very raw in his first year as well. I don't think it'll happen, though. We'll see what they do with the kid. It really is a shame that we didn't sign him onto our regular roster to start with. Still a very bad move if you ask me.
