I'm not sure I agree. If we play a conservative defense, Favre will dink and dunk the Vikings down the field for massive yardage and huge time of possession. Yes, there are times when he's under intense blitz pressure that he pulls miracle downfield throws out of his ass, but very frequently even he gets rattled and starts throwing the ducks up for grabs. Even the very best quarterback in the league -- Peyton Manning -- throws interceptions when he's under intense pressure (how many 6-INT games has he had in the past couple of years?). But that's the thing -- the pressure has to
get there, or Favre will simply step up in the pocket and gash the defense with deep outs, play action, the occasional bomb, and perhaps even a draw play for good measure.
I say hit the man as many times as humanly possible. Let's see some of those disguised coverages Capers promised us in the offseason. That's the main reason I was so excited about his hiring. Watching defenses like Baltimore disguise their formations is a thing of beauty.
