Eagles sign Garcia?

I always wondered why the Vikings didn't sign Garcia.. He did a valiant job down there in Tampa.

I assume Garcia still knows the system, I could see him starting this week if McNabb can't go - he has to be better than Kevin Kolb has been in limited action.

He really played well for the Bucs for a couple seasons. He can still it get it done if he's got a running game and a defense. He would have been perfect in Minny.

He actually would have been great in Oakland, but I don't think the coaching staff there wanted to demote Russell. If they kept Garcia on the bench, all of the players would start pushing for him over Jamarcus. Probably a smart move by Oakland and Garcia to avoid the whole mess.

Yeah.. in the MN @ TB game last year, he was a fiesty one.. Had ALOT of fight in him that whole game. I was REALLY impressed, and it dawned on me this offseason to know that he didn't have a team. And I was pissed at the management that they didn't even take a look at him and instead traded for a career backup instead (Sage).

Don't be surprised if he doesn't set some record for being traded around the league this year. I can see him being the guy that every GM that gets a starting QB hurt ....gets on the phone with the GM holding him ...and asks, "You done with Jeff yet? We can use him now."
