I fail to see how we adequately replace Jenkins or even Jolly on the other end if either go down this season. DL depth is certainly one of my biggest concerns with this squad.

I think you're being a little to gunshy from last season. The fact of the matter is that you dont simply replace a player of Jenkin's quality. With this same method of thinking, near every position on the team should be your biggest concern.

Think about it, what if charles woodson goes down for the season? Sure Williams will step in but that creates a huge hole for the nickle, seeings as the pack plays a LOT of nickle and sub-packages with 3 CBs, this would be a huge loss. Same can be said for harris.

What if rodgers goes down?

What if clifton goes down?

What if grant goes down?

What if collins goes down?

We can play this game all day. Inside linebacker and center and maybe WR(we have good depth here, but nobody is going to come in and replace jennings) are about the only positions on the field where they can sustain a major injury to a starter without a real dropoff.

At the end of the day its about how well the team can play together no matter who is in there, and that will tell the real tale because there will be injuries along the way.

Jenkins is a manbeast. I knew he would be perfect for this defense. It is what he has been doing, only in a 4-3 switching from DE to DT. Exaclty what a 3-4 DE is. He was by far the biggest loss last season.

The way things are playing out, I forsee Raji getting increased time on the Dline, more than likely over Pickett than Jolly. Jolly also has been playing out of his mind. 3 way rotation.

Jolly, Raji Jolly, Pickett, Raji Pickett. Jenkins will take care of himself.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

How about Jolly's int too? That was a crazy display of athleticism. The pressure he and Cullen provided were a HUGE factor in the lack of bears run game and those picks.

Jolly and Cullen were debatably the MVPs last night

Jenkins sure looks like he's going to thrive in this system. Played real well. Got off blocks and penetrated the the backfield. Pressured the quarterback. Kept his motor going on every play. Excellent first game for him.

Both Jenkins and Jolly were on fire. Once Raji comes back we should have a nice rotation.

All we need now is for J.Wynn to step it up and we're set.

Great game by Jenkins. So much for 3-4 DE being nothing but a "space eater" position. I didn't even see B.J. Raji out there, but I saw Montgomery and Wynn. Raji must not have suited up.

Yes, Raji was inactive.

What a freaking game Jenkins had. He penetrated the Chicago line on passing and rushing plays. He's such an important player on this D.
