I say Smith.

After the releases, I'm wondering how long the Packers plan to keep 3 FBs...

Khun and Hall are ST aces and becoming solid FBs, and Johnson has a lot of upside, but offers next to nothing on ST.

Keeping 3 FBs in this day and age in the NFL is not a luxury many teams can afford. Especially considering the Packers #2 QB sustained an injury this off-season.

Surprise for me is Meredith, Martin, Smith, and Sutton.

Honestly, all four could be picked up.

I suspect Martin and Sutton will be quickly.
Ted Thompson is taking a big chance with Meredith. He thinks he can sneak him on the practice squad. Meredith won't last the year there in my opinion.

Lansanah will get picked up. Dolphins went for him a year ago and might this year too.

I could see Lumpkin and Brohm getting picked up. A team like Seattle may look at Brohm and a team like St. Louis may look at Lumpkin.

Just guesses based on what I've seen via preseason.

If I'm the Lions, I jump at Martin and Sutton if possible.

Quite a few players are going to be on teams come Sunday so you have to give the Packers credit for assembling pretty good talent for camp this year.

After the releases who made the team that surprised you? Like AADP I am surprised at 3 FB.
But I am also surprised that Dietrich-Smith maded the team.

Yeah, thought of that as well. A young tackle, drafted fairly high, having a 3rd round draft grade. He won't last long out there. I don't think that this is a smart move.

Made a post on Sutton before and I agree with you. He might lack that top end speed, but he does everything else very well. He'll make a team.

Martin will make a great 3rd/4th somewhere. If he gets through the first picks in waivers, I think that he might end up in Baltimore. Great run blocker, they just released half their receiving squad, including Yamon Figurs. They'll be taking a look at him.

Makes you wonder how many of these cuts were based on next years salaries, with an uncapped year coming maybe Ted Thompson is trying to save the money for then.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I figured Martin would be cut. While everyone raves about what a good blocker he is, the fact is he's hardly ever on the field, and his numbers the past three years have been paltry. I am confident that Jermichael Finley in the TE position can contribute more yardage -- and possibly more touchdowns -- in a season than Martin gave us in two.

I'm still a little puzzled by the fact that we're keeping 3 FBs. Mike McCarthy has said his primary focus is on running the ball and playing defense, so apparently he's putting his money where his mouth is. He is also apparently determined to ensure that Rodgers has more protection than he got last year, when he spent half the season running for his life.

Either that, or perhaps Ted Thompson is trying to increase the trade value of his FBs by signing them all to the final roster.
