Look we could grind this ax all day long..

For every Cory Fuller spit in the face, we could be reminded of a Chuck Cecil head shot.. For every Mark Chumura we can point to a fall boat cruise...

Thing is.. this is a game where the advantage is paper thin on a match up level most Sunday's... players will use whatever advantage they can get away with.. legal or illegal.

It is up to the refs and the league to manage the rules of the game...

No team are filled with angels.. where the line should be drawn is when the actions increase the risk for injury by their actions.. care less the color of the jersey.

It was a bad decision by Favre.. care less if he donned the green or the purple.

Peyton pulled Mark Lee over that bench with him, watch it again, I believe the commentators were joking about how he got away with that one!

The old fogey stuff comes from my interpretation of how some of you aged challenged fellas talk down to us as if we were your children. If I'm 40 and you're old enough to be my father that makes you an old bastard. Depack use to do that to me at PF, and I had the same fun with him. Isn't just about time for you morning nap fellas?

And VR, I'm going to keep P & V pumping as long as nature allows.

Favre fined $10,000 for illegal hit
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 4, 2009 4:16 PM ET
Brett Favre reverie in the national media has been a running joke among fans for years, but it was hard to find anyone this week that defended the 'ol ballplayer a pass for his illegal crackblock block Monday night against Texans safety Eugene Wilson. (Although someone, somewhere surely said it was "just football.")

The NFL has agreed Favre's hit was dirty, announcing Friday they fined Favre $10,000 for the play. The league's message is clear: no one is allowed to take a cheap shot, no matter the name.

Wilson had to leave the game, but reportedly did not suffer any serious injury from the play that Texans tackle Eric Winston called "bush league."

Good for the NFL. I didn't think they would fine him. I'm not going to quibble about the amount, as much as I'm tempted to.
