However if he is I will be pissed off to the extreme. One area this team has suffered from is lack of production from the safety posistion since Leroy Butler left.
I personally want swagger from a safety the set the tone remember Butler with his fur coats and smack talk.
He originated the Lambeau Leap not an act by a humble player.

To say Sandmann was wrong on Vick really cannot be proven. The Packers could have been very interested in him and just didn't want to pay Vick what the Eagles gave him. This could have went down a variety of different ways.

For the record, I, like dfoster, also like rumors and speculation, and I wasn't attempting to discourage their propagation here. (Hence the reason I suggested letting the rumors stand on their own feet.) That being said, I will always maintain a professional skepticism (if you will) about rumors in the absence of corroboratory evidence. Call it a by-product of my education; a single source is never acceptable in my literary or scientific papers. When such evidence has emerged, however, I'll be happy to embrace the rumor.

It probably also stems from my deepset resistance to being a bandwagon jumper. Dfoster might call that tomfool hardheadedness. 😉

I'm going to go ahead and publicly hope this rumor isn't true. Smith may not be the best S in the world, but he's better than a couple of our other backups as it is, not to mention there aren't exactly quality safeties falling out of trees. If nothing else, we need the depth.
