Going into the 4th quarter there were only something like 3 or 4 penalties on the pack. That is great to see. I think they ended up with 6 penalties for 60 yards for the game. They cut their penalties in half from the bills game.

I think we have earned the right to be the MOST penalty paranoid fans there are. (I know every fan of every team says that--but they are all wrong except us, lol) It is almost weird how you can get a "feel" for how the flags are going to go, though.

Remember last year in the "hole in our visitors locker room wall" game against da bearce?

That game had that same "feel" to it - penalty-wise, as that game last night.

You know the feeling. Flag goes up...you say sh#t, d#mn, p#ss, hell, etc.

It is on our opponent.

Not only relief, but GENUINE surprise...approaching shock at our sudden good turn of good karma/joss/luck etc.

Just goes to show yet again that even paranoids have enemies to make me (us?) think like that. :thumbleft:

I thought it was a very strange night for penalties last night. Many of the calls could have been against the Packers but ended up being called on the Cards. I hope to see the displine we had in the Holmgren era come to light here. We don't need stupid penalties killing drives or keeping drives alive. We beat ourselfs many times last year with uncalled for flags.

This would be in regards to that Bearce game and the resulting hole in our visitor's locker-room wall. It is an oldie, but I still like it in the teeth of a most forgettable season.





Hopefully many more such sophomoric displays to come.

Couldn't have said it better myself, well...maybe just a little bit. We beat ourselves with a lot more than just penalties though. 😛

Last night and the first team all preseason has been pretty good not having penalties. A good percentage of the penalties have been on the 2nd and 3rd units.

Some penalties I accept (Underwoods personal foul) as an example. Holds, offsides are bad, but some come with the aggressiveness.
