Well when a guy has a 10 yard cushion i think i would call that wide open lol. Like i said i can't complain about his plain but it just struck me weird that he would force a ball to the right, then throw to a guy with a huge cusion.

But that's just likely a case where Rodgers went to his first read, thought he could make the throw and did so. That's basically how things work with a blitz coming. You can go through 1 and 2 progressions, he went through one and thought he could fit it in there. Now if he had more time, I'm sure he'd go through his progressions further.
But yeah in that case it's just a case of throwing it hot. It's easy for us to sit at home and say "Oh the other guy was was open" like the play Favre threw a INT against the Giants or this example here. But when you're on the field you can only go through one progression at a time, it's a totally different ball game.
A good example was the first Finley TD. Rodgers looked left, looked right, then with some extra time his blockers created he looked back right again and that's when he spotted a WIDE open Finley.
