Jared Allen; possibly injured

Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen limped off the field today after suffering an injury to his right ankle. Allen went down on a running play to his side during team drills.
He limped to the sideline where head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman checked on him. Allen was not wearing his right cleat when he walked to the locker room a few minutes later. He was driven away in a car near the end of practice.

That'd be a shame. He actually sounds like a decent guy, he just lets himself go on the field from time to time. I'm hoping that he'll come back and play in the regular season.

Also, I don't want the Vikings fans to have another excuse for losing against us.

This is the first I've heard of this.

My first impression is it's not serious, and that maybe he'll sit out a few preseason games, if not all of them. But maybe that's because I don't want to go all 'Chicken Little' and worry about our best defensive player being out for any serious length of time.

Another chink in the armor. I'm sure there is some scar tissue from the Cherilos hit last year.

Our game in Minneapolis this year, Colledge should play left tackle and legally cut block him all day. The game in Lambeau you go with Clifton and the power game.
