I'll be flying to Souderton in just over a week for five days. Work related. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the city/town/village.

This will be my first time flying too. I've never been a fan of heights. Now, if I'm climbing on something, or something smaller like a house or tree or basically anything that if I fall, its on my own stupidity, I'm cool with that. Airplane? I have no control over my landing ... not too thrilled about that idea. 🙂

I've been told to chew gum to prevent ears popping? WTF! I need my ears UN popped!!!!

I'm one of those guys who can truthfully say my takeoffs exceed my landings. But I love flying: airplanes, helicopters, whatever -- to me it's a thrill. Despite -- or perhaps because of -- the fact that I'm absolutely petrified of heights.

Have fun popping your aeronautical cherry!

This reminds me of when I first joined the army. I had a guaranteed contract to Fort Drum, New York, also known as the asshole of the universe. Out of curiosity, I looked up Fort Drum's website, where I came across this gem:

People here like to go to the mall.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Going to the mall was what passed for high entertainment at Fort Drum?

Oh, HELL NO! was my response, so I volunteered for Airborne School and Ranger Indoctrination Program at the earliest opportunity, which eventually landed me at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

"Lucky to have their own theater" indeed!

I bet you like it. Small town Pennsylvania is very nice, indeed. A lot of little college towns. You have Philadelphia to go to, and on a map and from the fellas you will probably hear suggestions on going to Reading, PA.

Don't listen to 'em! Hop in the rental car and head to another small town. It is also on the "outskirts" of Philadelphia.

West Chester, Pennsylvania. I'm not remembering any malls in the town itself, but I do have a very strong recollection of a very nice college there.

I believe it is an all girls college, but I'm pretty sure they admit guys as well...I seem to recall asking a real estate broker about that. I think he told me they had like 8 males in the school.

They have bars and restaurants...lots of bars. I went in one. Damndest thing I ever saw... Like 30 gals in there and one guy.

Pennsylvania girls--Not many left here after college, ya gotta go to DC to find 'em. Has to do with education, then job.

Long, long before I wound up actually living here in Pennsylvania, I was always amazed at how when I met some sweet attractive young lady and asked the question, "Where ya from?"

Always...always Pennsylvania...almost weird like that. Hell, I married two of 'em lol

I don't know about Souderton, but my bet would be that if you take my suggestion and try to make the trip to West Chester, odds are you might not even make it that far. I recall a town named "collegetown" somewhere along the route you would take.

You are a lucky bastard and you don't even know it yet, lol

If you are a beer drinkin' man, word of caution. You can buy a six pack. You can buy a twelve pack. In the bar. You can buy a case...They hace "case stores" here (or whatever they call 'em-ask Dhaze-I live here-not "from here)

Forget a 3 pack. They can't count that high in the bar legally, or that low in the package store. (I always found that both strange and funny) In practice what happens is if you want 3 six packs of beer, they make you go into the bar, buy two six packs, put them in your car, walk back in the bar, buy the 3rd six pack, and you are done. Really.

Welcome to Pennsylvania! lol

"See what I mean?"<------------------------Humor understood after trip.

Dave i'm sure they all have heard of west chester. If they watched MTV at all they know who Bam Magera is and thats where he lives. MAybe they will see him blowing up shit.

Yes the beer stores suck out here, if you want beer and whiskey you actually have to goto 2 different stores.

Mucky Tundra (28m) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (28m) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (29m) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (1h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (10h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (10h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (10h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (14h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
Zero2Cool (20-Dec) : There is a rule that if your name starts with 'b' you lose 15 points. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them!
wpr (20-Dec) : and then there is Beast. Running away with it all.
beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.
Mucky Tundra (19-Dec) : Kyle Shanahan on signing De'Vondre Campbell as a FA last offseason: “We obviously made a mistake.”
packerfanoutwest (19-Dec) : Alexander’s last season with GB
Martha Careful (18-Dec) : if I were a professional athlete, I would probably look to see who the agent is for Kirk Cousins and then use him
beast (18-Dec) : $100 million fully guaranteed Kirk Cousins gets benched for rookie
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : a lower case b
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : The real lie is how beast capitalized his name in his message while it's normally spelled with
packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
beast (17-Dec) : Despite what lies other might tell, Beast didn't hate the Winter Warnings, it felt refreshing to Beast for some reason.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
