They should put a limit in spending for a rookie player like the NHL has. In the NHL a rookie can only get 850 000k at a maximum per year. Of course bonuses mayb be included but either then that there's no expection if your Crosby - Ovechkin or a 4th line depth player the max you will get is 850k and the least is 450k.

That's a nice system that NFL should consider, probably not at 850k but a certain limit.

I read in a book that was about the "Inner Workings Of NFL Teams"

It stated that any player that was drafted in the Third Round and lower DOES NOT NEED AN AGENT and are basically giving away a percentage of their earnings by hiring one.

Now, they may need an agent later at the end of their contract if they excell... But most do not.

I can't remember if it was Ricky Williams or Dante Culpepper but i know it was one of them that is their own agent and the reason behind it was they figured why pay someone to do something you can do.
