I don't see how trash talking is that bad. Seems like the team's growing together and they know what they need to do to win games and feel pretty darn confident which is really not a bad thing. Now if they don't perform that's when it's bad.

I like Driver a lot, but why is he calling out the Bears recievers including Devin Hester. Hester has had more succes in his first two seasons at WR than Driver had in his first three seasons and Devin converted from a D-back/KR/PR. and had Orton/grossman/Griese throwing him the ball not the "Great one" #4

Hester's first 2 seasons at WR: 71 receptions, 964 yards, 5 TD

Driver's first "three" seasons at WR: 37 receptions, 523 yards, 3 TD

If Driver turned out to be as good as he is then why can't Hester's future be even brighter? maybe Donald should shut his mouth until he knows for sure that the Bears receivers and Hester are non factors. C'mon Driver you're not a talker.

Donald Driver started in four games his first three seasons. Not a fair comparison, wouldn't you agree? And yes, Hester may yet blossom into a superstar (or at the very least a good, solid WR). I guess we could say the same for Taco Wallace and Crapthonso Thorpe -- we shouldn't trash talk them now (which I'd argue WASN'T what Driver was doing), because, hey, they might be great someday.

Yuck.

This is all making a mountain out of a molehill. I gotta say, the proliferation of sports media has given us all way to many chances to complain.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Yeah I guess so, but I just have never heard Driver talk like that about an opponent before, he usually does his talking on the field with his ability.

Well people kept saying this wasn't a big thing but yet it was on all the shows on espn and also on NFL access. Most agreed with his comments but also said you should be saying that stuff public. One guy even went as far as saying it might not be a motivation tool for the players but the Bears gm to go and sign the likes of Burris and also go after Marshall in a trade and then we would be in deep shit. We already know Harris can't cover Burris but if they end up with both Burris and Marshall we are in deep shit.

"dhazer" wrote:

1. They don't have the cash.

2. Burress will not be playing this year, I'm certain of that.

3. So the Bears' GM would do this because of Donald Driver's statements? Seriously? You're going with that?

AJ Hawk LOL

Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk stopped by to chat, and when I asked him about Favre likely joining the Vikings, he said, "If he still wants to play football, it's great for the game, but I'm going to try and take his head off."
