When I'm talking about leniency, I'm talking about Roger Goodel, not the courts.

Of course, he can take it as far as that Jolly just shouldn't hang out with people like that. At this point, though, he (most likely) knows nothing more than that there was a bottle containing drugs in that car which Jolly might or might not know anything about and that might or might not be his.

Honestly I don't see this as a big deal.....

I'm not for breaking the law but it's codeine..... codeine is basically legal every where in the world other than the U.S. ..... heck it's sold over the counter in items in Canada and Mexico.

Also there is a bad apple and every teams. Jolly has had no problems other than this one. If he can play then I'd say get a contract done and get his butt back in here for years to come..... of course with some things in his contract not in others....

1) I wouldn't give him as much as I would if this didn't happen.
2) In the contract put if he has any more run in with the law the team can cut him and keep the money too...

You have to be safer with him now and make sure you have an escape plan in case he gets into more trouble but just think one think in his whole time I don't see as big of a deal to cut him or not resign him.

Jolly was a dumbass for being in that situation.
HOWEVER, the case against him is very weak. First of all, they drew suspicion, because there were four black guys sitting in a car. That ain't right. Second, they police did a search based on the "odor of codeine." Which HAS no mf'ing odor.
Third, all the the codiene in the car was put on Jolly, because he was the "driver." But there was no driver. The car was parked.
Now I know alot of people get tickets for being drunk in a car even if they're not driving. They need to fire their lawyers.

The fact is the prosecutor dropped this case, and I do not think they will refile. A guy like Jolly can get a real lawyer. They prosecutors would be wasting their time.
Jolly needs to learn a big lesson from this.

Codeine is legal over the counter in the UK too but only in small amounts. It sounds like there was a large amount in the car. Irregardless it is illegal in all states in the US w/o a prescription.

It seems Jolly has matured a bit more in the last couple years and fortunately for us this is also showing with his hard work on the field.

I don't think this will be an issue provided he continue to show he has grown from the experience and is on the straight and narrow. Getting a min of 2yrs prison time on the refile seems harsh for this circumstance unless new information comes to light.

Thanks for the info. i appreciate that. Great post.

Question is, you think, even though the prosecutor said they would refile the charges, they in fact will not?
