I have found it to be impossible to do anything on offense. I can run the ball ok, but the passing game is very difficult.

It almost seems like most of the pass patterns were designed for a field that is 100 yards WIDE. The receivers always run out of bounds. Kind of hard to complete a pass that way.

And the receivers are never open. (unless they are out of bounds)

I have played 4 games and have scored 1 touchdown.

This is frustrating.

Try screens, outs, ins, quick slants as those seem like the basics.

Establish the run and use play action.

Try different playbooks. I like run & gun.

I always hated that. I never throw to an out route. My favorite patterns are actually short passes and hitting the receiver on the run so he has some YAC room. I usually run slants, ins, posts, curls and crossing patterns all towards the middle of the field because even if your receiver isn't out of bounds on an out route, you can't be convinced that:
A) Your QB might throw it out of bounds
B) There isn't a defender there because the HB/FB flare routes aren't even on the screen (I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THIS)

I guess I will just need to practice more. I must say that I am pretty disappointed. The last time I played Madden was on my Playstation 2 and it was MUCH better than this.

You have to hit the WR as they are coming out of their break. If you hold the WR's button down, it'll be a dark, if you tap it, normal throw, if it you tap it twice it'll be a lob.

Yeah.. the Madden/NCAA football games I played on 360 I hated. The only next gen Madden/NCAA game I'll play will be only for the PS3 (that's because of the familiar controller layout).

I will say this, though.. Madden/NCAA '08 for the X-Box still rocks.

I don't know. It might be, since everything's so sped up and what not. I got used to it, though.

Madden 10 is aiming for realism, though. Their goal is to make the game so realistic, that a coach could pick up the controller and beat a regular Madden player. Given, I don't know how close they'll get to that, but I think that this new installment will certainly be more realistic.

Heres what you do. You push the eject button on your 360, put Madden back in its case, then back in whatever you store your games in. Go to the store(which ever store you shop for games at) and buy All Pro Football 2K8. Go home, open it and put in in your 360. And enjoy.

Wait for Madden 10 dude seriously. Madden 09 is trash.
