What version of fandom are you bringing that would compel you to say none...albeit grudgingly, eventually ... going with Driver?

I don't really care, but I am trying to "categorize" your version of fanhood, for my own personal understanding. You don't like management. You don't like the decision-making. You don't like the players...at least the current ones.

I think I have that about right. No matter, like I said, I'm not going to argue it...instead, I'm gonna pull your chain.

I was going to go with Walter Peyton (although I was thinking about actually a couple of the Vikes QB's that always seemed to have the Pack's "number"--- ) Peyton seemed faster than everyone on the field from the nosebleed section, it was almost weird. Fran Tarkenton always seemed to be the most Fran Tarkenton-like when he played us, same with that butt-head QB now in Detroit--We could never tackle him in the pocket, much less when he took off.

I pick none of them. Instead, I'm going with Mike Singletary. Those eyes, for everyone else. That intensity was fun to watch. Not why I picked him, though. I picked him because he is quoted as saying that he almost made Michael Crabtree cry.

I like that for some reason.

Probably my favorite non-Packers would be:

Champ Bailey
Ed Reed (I like the dominant defensive backs I guess)

And although not officially in the league yet, Donald Brown and Darius Butler, both from my UConn Huskies.

Favorite Packer: Ray Nitschke (old), LeRoy Butler (more recent)

Favorite non-Packer: Dick Butkus (old), Ed Reed (more recent)

Hmmmm...all defense, and two safeties!!??!

LeRoy belongs in the PFHOF...hopefully the role safeties have played as QB for defenses in recent years will benefit him as the Hall typically short-changes safeties. As Ronnie Lott was to the 1980s, LeRoy was to the 1990s....simply the best of his era, and a game changer in blitz, run support, and pass defense. Reggie White got the pub, but LeRoy made that defense work!!

What i am saying Dave is that there isn't one favorite player on the Packers for me right now. But like i said the one i would say i like the best would be Driver. It's just like the Brewers i don't have a fav cuz i like Braun and Prince as favs so one just doesn't stand out above the rest. I like alot of the current players but not really one way above the rest, to be honest i saw the wise cracks about TT, I want to say Brett wasn't even really one of my favorite Packers of all-time. I like cheering for the guys not alot of others cheer for. I also like Mason Crosby alot but you can't pick a kicker as your favorite player lol.

SO i hope this cleared it up a little for you.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I figured it had to be something like that. Hell, I was running out of options if it wasn't. (OK, who is dhaze cheering for, the beer man/plumber? Naw, Dhaze is 60mi e of Pittsburgh for cripes sake, what would he care about that guy for?) Then I thought...He likes Driver, but wanted Crabtree, possibly Driver's ticket out of Green Bay...Nah--He's just covering his butt when Crabtree busts...

Sorry. Mostly meant for humor. I promise not to tell everyone how you rooted for Rodgers during the games...They wouldn't believe me anyway.

cool thread!

non-Packer History: Walter Payton
Packer History: Brett Favre (i know it's obvious, but it's true)

current Packer: Greg Jennings/Charles Woodson
current non-Packer: ah, crud. i don't know. nobody i'm CRRRRAAAAAZY about but the past season has me excited to watch Matt Forte and hope he develops into something exciting, regardless of the rivalry.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.
