The Green Bay Packers on Wednesday announced their training-camp schedule, which includes seven two-a-day practices and nine night practices at the new Ray Nitschke Field.
Practice begins at 2 p.m. Aug. 1. That will be followed by the first of seven two-a-day practices Aug. 2. On that day, the morning practice will be at 8:45 a.m. and a night workout at 6:30 p.m.
The other two-a-days, all with the same practice times of 8:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., are scheduled for Aug. 4, 6, 11, 13, 18 and 20. The other single workouts at 2 p.m. are set for Aug. 3, 7, 10 and 17.
The final two evening practices are solo workouts Aug. 24 and Aug. 30. After the second pre-season game against the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 22, the team has no more two-a-days and will practice in either the morning or evening.
The team's annual Family Night will be Aug. 8 at Lambeau Field. Evening activities will begin at 5:30 p.m.
On Aug. 15, the Packers will host the Cleveland Browns in the pre-season opener.
On Sept. 1, the team will have its last practice that will be open to the public. That practice begins at 10:15 a.m. at Ray Nitschke Field.
As it has done since 1958, team members will live in the dorm rooms of nearby St. Nobert College in DePere. That is the longest training camp relationship between a team and a school in the National Football League.
