Lmao what i think is so funny is the main excuse people used last year. All i kept hearing about for the difference between 07 and 08 was our defense had alot of injuries. But now we draft 2 rookies and holy shit we have an awesome defense. So are you people that used the injuries as an excuse not going to admit the team was that bad? I was just curious how many will admit they flip all the time instead of sticking with what they believe.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Well I think it was injuries and our defensive coaches. Heck from an outside observer we hardly ever rushed the passer and I could often see when we were going too.

I blame our coaches most of all.

But having some fresh talent should help also. Kevin Greene states that the OLB position is the key position in the 3-4 D and we just got 2 decent OLBers ie matthews and the 7th round pick that can vie for the position.

You can't say that injuries didn't hurt us...I think it was injuries AND the coaching.

And when we switched to the 34, that left a couple holes in the defense. I can't believe that you're not excited about Raji and Matthews.

Overall I'm loving this draft

BJ Raji - they ought to name a cheeseburger after him or something  He's a huge guy that can move, that is extremely rare in this type of pick! He usually has good leverage and he can make plays
A+

Clay Mathews III - I love his potential and his heart, he may have a lot of similarities with Bobby Carpenter (Dallas's career ST'er) but he has a lot more desire than B.C. I also love the fact that with Kevine Greene as an OLB coach he will probably be one for the ages.
A

TJ Lang - A great OT on a mediocre Eastern Michigan team, he could be our starting RT or LG for years to come!!!!
A-

Quinn Johnson - This pick is twofold, number 1 hes a great straight ahead FB who will pound the LB'ers and clear running lanes, and number 2 he's a good short yardage back and blocking back taking away time from Bjax
A

Jamone Meredith - IMO the STEAL of this draft, He has 2nd round talent but a false news report came out that pushed him to us late in the 5th means we get a great LT for little price
A+

Jarius Wynn - This was my only '?' of the draft, hes a slow DE type 3-4 player like Monty just without the burst, however if he can improve his upper-body strength and work on his quickness he could be a great player
B-

Brandon Underwood - a fast CB who is great in zone and man coverage out of Cincinnati, could have been a 3rd round pick if he preformed even only a little bit better in college.
B+

Brad Jones - a fast developmental OLB in the 3-4, he's not afraid of contact and can shed blocks easily, he will probably play ST's this year and seeing how he is fast and sheds blocks he will be great for our KO unit.
A-

overall: A-

I love what Ted Thompson has done with this draft and dumping his BPA strategy for needs this year.

Yeah we should have drafted Michael Crabtree because then our defense would be rock solid!

Zero2Cool (2h) : Los Angeles Chargers are likely to release DE Joey Bosa this off-season as a cap casualty, per league source.
Zero2Cool (20h) : If the exploit is not fixed, we'll see tons of "50 top free agents, 50 perfect NFL team fits: We picked where each should sign in March" lo
Zero2Cool (20h) : Issue should be solved, database cleaned and held strong working / meeting. Boom!
Zero2Cool (20h) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (21h) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (21h) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (21h) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (21h) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (21h) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Now they're back with another topic
Mucky Tundra (21h) : oh lol
Zero2Cool (21h) : I have a script that purges them now.
Zero2Cool (21h) : 118 Topics with Message.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : what's 118 (besides a number)?
Zero2Cool (21h) : They got 118 slapped in there.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (21h) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Wasnt there a time guests could post in the help forum?
Zero2Cool (21h) : lol good question, kind of impressed!
Mucky Tundra (21h) : So how is a guest posting?
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Tell them its an emergency
Zero2Cool (21h) : Working. Meetings.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Lots of fun; the spam goes back 4 or 5 pages by this point
Mucky Tundra (21h) : I thought you'd look for yourself and put 2 and 2 together lol. I overestimated ya ;)
Mucky Tundra (21h) : I thought Guests couldnt post?
Zero2Cool (21h) : And gosh that's gonna be fun to clean up! hahaa
Zero2Cool (21h) : Oh. Why not just say that then? Geez.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : check the main forum, seems a spam bot is running amok
Zero2Cool (21h) : What?
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Is the Packers online game "Packers Predict" now available for 2024? I can't tell
Zero2Cool (17-Feb) : Bengals planning to Franchise Tag Tamaurice Higgins
Zero2Cool (14-Feb) : Packers are hiring Luke Getsy as senior offensive assistant.
Martha Careful (12-Feb) : I would love to have them both, esp. Crosby, but either might be too expensive.
Zero2Cool (12-Feb) : Keisean Nixon is trying to get Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams lol
Mucky Tundra (11-Feb) : Yeah where did it go?
packerfanoutwest (11-Feb) : or did you resctrict access to that topic?
packerfanoutwest (11-Feb) : why did you remove the Playoff topic?
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Tua’s old DC won a Super Bowl Year 1 with Tua’s former backup
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : *winning MVP
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Funny observation I've heard: Carson Wentz was on the sideline for both Eagles Super Bowl wins w/guys supposed to be his back up winning
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : NFL thought it would get more attention week preceding Super Bowl.
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Yes, the Pro Bowl. It was played Sunday before Super Bowl from 2010-2022
packerfanoutwest (10-Feb) : pro bowl
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : From 2010 to 2022, it was played on the Sunday before the Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : They moved it to the BYE week before Super Bowl several years ago.
