If he can be had for a 2nd rounder, I'm astounded as to why we wouldn't make a serious effort to get him. Even for something like a 2nd and a 5th or 6th.
Yeah, yeah, you'll have to pay him, but so what. You'll have to pay anyone that talented. The chances of getting another player as talented as Julius Peppers in the 2nd round seems remote at best to me. Possible, yes, likely, no.
Like I said, for the 2nd round price, I would do it in a heartbeat. New England doesn't seem too worried about how he'll fit into the 3-4.
