It's all the fault of these left wing politicians. They don't care about freedom and independence and eat babies!

No, seriously, I'll stay out of this, it's a really hard one.

Ah, yes, firing a .50 caliber M2 Browning Machine Gun is truly an orgasmic experience.

But seriously, most women poo-poo men and their obsession with guns . . . until you put a piece in their hands and tell them to point it down range. After that they're hooked.

If you can't get laid after taking a chick to a range, you can't get laid.

I always LOVE (sarcasm) the "This isn't the wild west" garbage from the wussie anti gun people.
If they actually put any THOUGHT into it, they would realize....."Hey......back then, almost EVERYONE carried a gun. So unless you KNEW you were the "fastest gun in the West" maybe it wouldn't be such a smart idea to pull that pistol out of it's holster."
Yes......there WERE bad people back then, just as there are now. The big difference is, back then most intended victims were packing and could fight back.
Made the criminals a little more cautious on who they attack if there's a chance THEY might end up being the dead guy.

Yes......in a "perfect world", no one would EVER need a gun, everyone would treat each other with respect, and love would abound.
Thats NOT the REAL world we live in.
I remember seeing a commercial made by i believe the NRA once......it showed a politician with his "crew", trying to come up with ways to look good to "the people", to LOOK tough on crime. Next shot, they show the politician on TV, rallying for "Stricter gun control laws, to lower the violent crime rate" and everyone cheers.
Then they show an obvious "scum bag" criminal watching the politician on TV, and he just starts laughing at the TV.
The criminals KNOW that gun control laws affect ONLY one group.....and thats the people that ALREADY OBEY THE LAWS AGAINST CRIME.

Why is that so difficult for the anti-gun people to see???

Truth is, it's your typical "political correct liberalism", which 99% of the time is just "feel good" useless fluff. It makes them FEEL like they have done something good, when in reality all they have done is make more unarmed victims for the criminals WHO WILL STILL BE PACKING A GUN.

WHY can't they SEE that????
(ANSWER: Cause they don't WANT to......it would ruin their "feel good" part)
Sorry.......rant over.

All I know is that if my neighbor decided to shot someone trying to break in his house and shot one of my kids, that MF better have another bullet ready before I get to him

O wait..

I'll get my own gun then shot him back..

Yeah

I just read this post for the first time..(been real busy subbing all week at school)...and all I can say is ..."I live in the wild west and we love our guns." I have a .222 and 30-06 hanging clearly visible on a gun rack in my truck. Both loaded, but none in the chamber. Crap. the Missoula County sheriff and three deputies live on our hill and have never said boo to me...(except about Buffalo...that's another story)

I would bet that 4 out of every 5 people out here carry a gun, either in their vehicle or on them. I kind of ride the middle of the fence on gun control. I have guns and use them carefully and safely, but you never know about some of the other people. In my case, it's for protection from Bison and Squirrels! The Bison you can see and hear coming, but those damn squirrels are pretty sneaky. Ya gotta watch out for them and be well armed. A well aimed acorn can really hurt!!!!

Ye, I felt a need to post something here, but I'm really in the middle on this one.

The law is the law. If that man wants to have a gun on him when he mows his lawn, let him go ahead. I guess he can.

On the other side, I don't like all kinds of random people walking around with guns. I know i'd be terrified if my neighbor had a gun. He's impulsive and hot headed. Even if I had a gun, I couldn't shoot him. I could feel threatened, but that's not a reason to kill someone. He, on the other hand, I would expect to just shoot if he gets really pissed off. Not having a gun in that case will mean that he'll never take you down that fast and at least has a short while to get to his senses.

PS. Cheesey, try not to get a heart attack while writing your reply. 😛

I think my thoughts echo Rocks..

I would be more worried of the stray bullet shot out from my neighbors gun then I would be of a criminal coming after me

Well, I've known quite a few folks with guns with hot tempers. When they know you have guns too, for some odd reason (can't put my finger on it), they're really nice to you. They might go off on someone else, but they'll be nice to you.

This is from experience.
