It's all the fault of these left wing politicians. They don't care about freedom and independence and eat babies!

No, seriously, I'll stay out of this, it's a really hard one.

Rock - You'd be surprised just how many liberals I've talked to in California that are starting to see my way when it comes to Guns, especially once I've taken them shooting and showed them how much fun it is. Women especially love the rush, the raw power in their hands.

However, I don't think we'll ever agree on Economics.

Ye, I felt a need to post something here, but I'm really in the middle on this one.

The law is the law. If that man wants to have a gun on him when he mows his lawn, let him go ahead. I guess he can.

On the other side, I don't like all kinds of random people walking around with guns. I know i'd be terrified if my neighbor had a gun. He's impulsive and hot headed. Even if I had a gun, I couldn't shoot him. I could feel threatened, but that's not a reason to kill someone. He, on the other hand, I would expect to just shoot if he gets really pissed off. Not having a gun in that case will mean that he'll never take you down that fast and at least has a short while to get to his senses.

PS. Cheesey, try not to get a heart attack while writing your reply. :p

Don't worry Rock......"ACKKK" (Cheesey drops over)
Here's a question for you........do you know for sure your "hot headed" neighbor DOESN'T have a gun already? Maybe he does, but just doesn't let anyone SEE it.
If the guy is that hot headed, what would keep him from say, bashing your head in with a baseball bat.......or stabbing you with a large knife? Shouldn't that scare you just as much? Truth is.......i know some "hot headed" people that own guns, and not one of them have ever shot anyone. Just because you get pissed off easily doesn't mean you'd take the step to shoot someone. Someone can be an A-hole, without meaning he (or she) would kill someone if they "just had a gun!"
As far as killing someone.........i could do it i think, if i HAD to. If it was me or my family's life threatened, i think i would do ANYTHING necessary to protect them. Does that mean I WANT to do it? No......the thought repulses me. Having to take someone's life is a decision i hope i never have to make. But i HAVE thought about it, because in today's world the facts are that there are people that don't give a damn about you, OR your loved ones, and would kill you without even caring.
I'd do everything i could to prevent having to go to that extreme, but if it was the ONLY way out, i'd do it.

Once again I agree with Cheesey.

It's easy to kill someone. Guns, knives, crowbars, baseball bats, etc.

The best way to kill someone though is with a car. You get a slap on the wrist. Just ask Rebecca Gayheart or Matthew Broderick.
