You guys are not factoring in the fact that there are no other options at NT.

Albert Haynesworth was IT.

NONE

Bring many millions for this option

and Raji has complete bust as an NT written all over his senior bowl practice hero senior bowl bust body

Rogers is a giant pile of lazy. All the talent in the world is worthless if you can't count on him consistently playing to win.

I didn't see Haynesworth as a NT. Maybe transitioning him. But you can't pay him what he was paid and hope that he could make the transition.

We can't cook up NT's either. It's not like there's much out there right now, or ever, for that matter. Let's have some faith in our execs, our coaches, and our players. These guys are smart enough and good enough at their jobs that they'll do what they think they'll have to do.

somebody get foster a xanax to go with that beer. lol

I want to know why most people think Justin Harrell would be better suited as a DE than a NT. Alot of the Mel Kipers and mock draft 'experts' say Raji will fall to us. If we selected Raji, wouldnt that make Harrell out to be a bigger bust even more than we thought, since we already drafted a DT in Harrell a few years back? Raji would defintely be an updrage, don't get me wrong but I think drafting Raji would make us look even more foolish than we already were when we drafted Justin. I honestly think Harrell should be the NT IF Pickett can't do the job. Maybe some of you guys can shed some light on the situation for me. Cause I look at Harrell and he looks like he'd be very effective playin NT.

no. why would drafting another DT make the packers look foolish? I don't understand your reasoning. You need like 5 DTs on the team, right?

Harrell is on the Depth Chart atm as a DE.

I like Sammy Lee Hill a little better than Baker at NT

Also since we are supposedly running a hybrid defense next year Pickett won't be digging away at the nose like the full time NTs have to. He should be able to handle those duties for 1 season while we draft a guy in the later rounds who is physically capable of handling the NT position and use the season to prepare him for the future.

I wouldn't plan on Pickett making it through one GAME at NT, much less the season. I love Ryan, let's not get confused, here. Two 300 lb offensive linemen on him...he gets to try and "hold that point". It's going to happen a little, not a lot, imo.

These are really important questions. Elaborate why you like him better. Absolutely no criticism intended on my part. Do me a favor and compare/contrast if you get the chance.

I am not sure there is much of a choice atm though. It comes down to whether you feel like you are wasting your pick going with Raji or Brace with one of your high picks and if neither is available to us then there really is no choice. If we can't get the people we need this year for the 3-4 then I am sure Capers will stick with whatever works the best until we can get the right personnel in there.

Well, Steve, I'm going with the theory that once we kick off we are going to have to cram more men into that line RFN rather than later. You, of all people, probably habla.

We gotta roll with what we got, and we got squat now.

Unless you want to wait for the friggin' Navy, so to speak.
