And if you really think that he would be "ruining his legacy" by playing again because he is all washed up, then let him play at Minnesota or Chicago.....after all he is washed up right?

So, now we're the GM of the Jets? If memory serves me correctly they are the team that hold his rights. I also can't see why the Jets wouldn't allow that move.
I'm sure this was a jab at the Packers so I'll address it in that tone. Any team allowing the face of their franchise to play for a inter-division rival is completely moronic. And to think any team would do that is equally insane. Ever think that it was more about the intangibles than his talent? How about we don't forget that Brett Favre retired from the Packers.
Maybe it should be mentioned that Brett through a league high 22 INT's last season and admitted to burning out in the later half of the season.
Anyhow, back to important discussion. Having Brett Favre in your camp regardless of his being washed up or being a gunslinger would help tremendously. He might be unorthodox, but seriously, he's not teaching grade kids technique, he's teaching the game of football to men. There's a huge difference. No, Brett will never teach anyone the mechanics of throwing, but he can sure as hell teach any man defensive schemes and what to look for and the weak spots in certain coverages and when blitz are coming, etc. He played for a VERY long long time at a very high level. His experience alone would help any young QB trying to learn the ropes.
Mangini offering his invite to camp is a smart move, especially since Brett would be more inclined to help mentor the QB's in spite of the Packers. Remember when Brett was asked if he was going to help Aaron and he said no we have position coaches for that. Well, just like Brett said he retired right away because he didn't want to make things hard on the Jets team, that was never done for Green Bay, but he did for the Jets.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Brett go in after everything that's happened. It might be just what he needs to resolve his for sure 'itch'. Now, I don't think the Jets would be too thrilled about it though. lol
