Wow I had no idea going to away games were like this ...

hate to ask but are packers fans this roudy also against bears and viks fans?

I can understand if the trash talking gets carried away but the examples you guys are giving examples that seem like its just 'fans' looking to cause trouble.

I live in england and it sounds like the rivalries that their football clubs have at games where fans often get into fights at the standiums because they are a bunch of drunks/crazy/who knows what peeps.

I went to the NFC title game in Dallas in i believe 1995.
I gave the Cowboys fans some crap before the game, but did it in fun, and they in turn treated me the same.
One group had some Packer pictures and pennants on the ground for Cowboy fans to step on, and i got down and pretended to kiss the pennants.
That got a howl out of them, and it was all cool.

I think alot of it has to do with how you react in "hostile" teritory.

If you come across too strong, trouble will find you.
But i haven't been to a game at Miin or Chicago, so i don't really know what it's like there.

It's hit or miss I think. I've been to a game in both stadiums and nothing ever happened. Hell, when I was in Chicago looking for 2 tickets to buy from a scalper, a guy and his daughter (who were Bears fans) gave us two tickets for free.

There are assholes at every venue that wouldn't say "boo" to you if they were alone outside of the comforts of heir home stadium, fellow fans, friends and peers. Most have had too much to drink and you just need to know how to deal with them properly as to avoid any serious trouble.

True,,,,very true.
Usually they are in a group, which gives these COWARDS (also with the aid of alcohol) "instant courage".
By themselves, they would remain the cowards they really are.

My wife and I went to Lambeau this past season when Green Bay played the Bears and had a great time. I didn't notice really anything terribly bad done to Bears fans. Mostly just ribbing here and there, almost like two brothers making fun of each other.

Of course, there were a few obnoxious drunks, but they were the exception and not the rule.

I've also been to Lambeau when the Lions came to town, but I think there was more pity amongst the Lambeau faithful towards Lions fans.

You will probably be much better off if you don't drink and avoid those who are. Seriously.

I've been tot he dome twice, but it was in the late 1990's, they weren't filling the stadium with season ticket holders so there were a lot more Packer fans. I had no confrontations nor saw any but I was sober which helps a lot for avoiding trouble.

Been to one game in each venue... Minnesota wasn't bad at all.. mostly just fun jesting back and forth.

But Chi-town wasn't much fun.. there is a reason some have earned the moniker "FIB"... because it fits. I don't think I personally would entertain the idea of going there again.. I am not the fighting type, but I wanted to fight.. lol.
