Some football analysts would probably get a good chuckle out of how pissed a percentage of our fans are about this.

I just want to see an effort to bring FA's in here to fill in the holes. We aren't asking for a spending spree. 1 or 2 solid players a year should be a necessity especially in the NFL where stars are dropped all the time because of different systems and stuff. There should be NO excuses not to get some solid players signed when you have a firm weakness.

Just because WE as fans are "outside the loop" doesn't mean Ted Thompson isn't doing anything.
Why do people seem to think they he has an OBLIGATION to tell US every move he tries to make????

He owes us nothing but to put a good team on the field. Thats the bottom line.
And it's a LONG time till training camp, and the preseason.

So all the "hand wringing" and pissing and moaning means NOTHING right now.
But some seem to thrive on that.......although i don't understand why.

I agree......there is no "Reggie White" in this class.
To over pay for a FA, just to say "We did it!" makes REAL good sense, doesn't it?
Of course if Ted Thompson did do that, and the guy proved to not be worth it, the "haters" would be sure to point that out.
Truth is, some won't be pleased no matter what the guy does.

Last night on the radio show JT the Brick there was a nfl guy on..

He was explaining to a caller why it was right for Philly to not re-sign Dawkins.

Said that Denver over paid for him because they needed a player like him, but it was WRONG to do. Philly did right thing by not paying what Denver did.

He then went on to say that now that the over spending wave ( that is what he said )is done, now your going to see guys that are priced for their talent and will be solid investments be signed

Say someone wanted Ted Thompson to sign Haynesworth..

at what expense or player loss would you let go..

Signing him to a deal that he got surely means probably 2 players would not be re-signed so who gets axe?
