Something like that. I'd love to see Favre benched, because I'm sick of him and the Packers would have a better chance of winning the division without him around, but I'm not stupid enough to suggest that benching Favre would be a good idea for the Vikings.

Basically this is what this guy is saying "Okay, so you got Moss like 3 days before the game, Even with that Favre goes for 250 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 2 fumbles against the best team in football on the road, bench him for T-Jack". Really? This article is not objective, I don't know this guy but I bet if you went through his articles, you'd see a lot of Favre bashing.

Yeah, I enjoyed him years and years ago. Back before he got sponsors and he was mostly an NFL rumor blog. Then he got into the market of NFL news. Then it got to the point of him saying shit half the time that doesn't even make sense, but stuff that gets fans riled up, to get the hits.

The most unfortunate thing about his success is how NBC has him on Sunday Night Football and use him as if he's a real sports journalist.

There is no logic in this article.

Exactly.

I don't think anyone will bother going to my link so I'll copy and paste parts to prove my point.

First drive - all AP. To be fair though, penalties kind of killed them, not AP's fault.

Minnesota - 15:00
1st-10, MIN40 15:00 Minnesota committed 5 yard penalty
1st-15, MIN35 14:41 Minnesota committed 5 yard penalty
1st-20, MIN30 14:17 A. Peterson rushed to the right for 4 yard gain
2nd-16, MIN34 13:42 Minnesota committed 5 yard penalty
2nd-21, MIN29 13:17 A. Peterson rushed to the right for 1 yard gain
3rd-20, MIN30 12:36 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 15 yard gain
4th-5, MIN45 11:49 C. Kluwe punt, no return

Result - punt

Second drive - AP 1st and 2nd down. 3rd down, shows MN's amazing OL. This sack was not Favre's fault.

1st-10, MIN11 10:15 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 4 yard gain
2nd-6, MIN15 9:40 A. Peterson rushed to the right for 2 yard gain
3rd-4, MIN17 8:58 B. Favre sacked by D. Coleman
4th-11, MIN10 8:27 C. Kluwe punt. K. Wilson returned punt for 7 yards

Result - punt

3rd drive - mostly Favre. Favre didn't get it done this time.

1st-10, MIN31 4:49 B. Favre passed to P. Harvin to the left for 19 yard gain
1st-10, 50 4:13 B. Favre incomplete pass to the left
2nd-10, 50 4:07 B. Favre rushed to the right for 2 yard gain
3rd-8, NYJ48 3:33 B. Favre incomplete pass to the right
4th-8, NYJ48 3:20 C. Kluwe punt, no return

Result - punt

4th drive - AP 1st and 2nd down. 3rd down Favre.

4th-4, MIN12 10:55 C. Kluwe punt. K. Wilson returned punt for no gain. NY Jets committed 10 yard penalty

Result - punt

5th drive - MN runs 1st and 2nd down. 3rd down Favre.

1st-10, MIN27 9:29 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 2 yard gain
2nd-8, MIN29 8:54 T. Gerhart rushed to the left for 1 yard gain
3rd-7, MIN30 8:14 B. Favre incomplete pass to the right
4th-7, MIN30 7:59 C. Kluwe punt, no return

Result - punt

6th drive - All Favre. Favre gets hit from behind and fumbles. Heh. I saw that run and I was thinking my Grandma runs faster than Favre.

1st-10, MIN25 5:23 B. Favre sacked by C. Pace. NY Jets committed 15 yard penalty
1st-10, MIN31 5:02 B. Favre passed to J. Kleinsasser down the middle for 5 yard gain
2nd-5, MIN36 4:34 B. Favre passed to R. Moss to the left for 7 yard gain

Result - Favre's 1st fumble

2nd half

1st drive - one play, Favre fumbles

B. Favre rushed up the middle for no gain. B. Favre fumbled. D. Revis recovered fumble and returned for 10 yards

2nd drive - MN tries running again. Earth to Chilly - maybe running on 1st and 2nd down and throwing on 3rd down is slightly predictable? What do I know, I'm just some guy with access to the internet.

1st-10, MIN18 8:43 T. Gerhart rushed to the left for 6 yard gain
2nd-4, MIN24 8:01 A. Peterson rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain
3rd-3, MIN25 7:22 B. Favre incomplete pass to the right
4th-3, MIN25 7:06 C. Kluwe punt. J. Leonhard returned punt for 7 yards

Result - punt

3rd drive - the fun begins. This is where the bar started going nuts. I've been at bars for most of this season. 2010 has been dead. This became the most exciting game we've watched so far, starting here. Chilly decides to let Favre take the game in his hands.

1st-10, MIN28 6:11 B. Favre passed to P. Harvin down the middle for 11 yard gain
1st-10, MIN39 6:11 A. Peterson rushed to the right for no gain
2nd-10, MIN39 5:18 B. Favre incomplete pass to the left
3rd-10, MIN39 5:10 Minnesota committed 5 yard penalty
3rd-15, MIN34 5:10 B. Favre passed to R. Moss to the right for 16 yard gain
1st-10, 50 4:32 B. Favre passed to V. Shiancoe to the left for 8 yard gain
2nd-2, NYJ42 4:32 Minnesota committed 10 yard penalty
2nd-12, MIN48 3:43 B. Favre incomplete pass to the left
3rd-12, MIN48 3:37 B. Favre passed to P. Harvin to the left for 22 yard gain
1st-10, NYJ30 3:17 B. Favre incomplete pass to the left
2nd-10, NYJ30 3:12 A. Peterson rushed to the right for 2 yard loss
3rd-12, NYJ32 2:28 Minnesota committed 5 yard penalty
3rd-17, NYJ37 2:10 B. Favre passed to R. Moss to the right for 37 yard touchdown. R. Longwell made PAT

Result - possibly the sweetest pass I've seen all year long for Favre's 500th TD pass and 1st TD to Randy Moss.

4th drive - Kudos to AP. This is mostly him.

1st-10, MIN35 0:43 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 30 yard gain

4th Quarter

Minnesota continued
1st-10, NYJ35 15:00 A. Peterson rushed to the right for 10 yard gain
1st-10, NYJ25 14:17 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 2 yard gain
2nd-8, NYJ23 13:41 Minnesota committed 11 yard penalty
2nd-19, NYJ34 13:35 A. Peterson rushed up the middle for no gain
3rd-19, NYJ34 12:47 B. Favre passed to P. Harvin to the left for 34 yard touchdown. 2pt attempt failed, B. Favre pass to V. Shiancoe

Result - TD.

5th drive - 3 AP, 3 Favre

1st-10, MIN9 9:32 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 9 yard gain
2nd-1, MIN18 8:54 A. Peterson rushed to the right for no gain
3rd-1, MIN18 8:13 A. Peterson rushed to the left for 4 yard gain
1st-10, MIN22 7:31 B. Favre incomplete pass to the left
2nd-10, MIN22 7:22 B. Favre incomplete pass to the right
3rd-10, MIN22 7:19 B. Favre incomplete pass down the middle
4th-10, MIN22 7:06 C. Kluwe punt, no return

Result - punt

6th drive - All Favre

1st-10, MIN46 4:20 B. Favre sacked by S. Ellis and C. Pace
2nd-15, MIN41 3:55 B. Favre passed to A. Peterson down the middle for 20 yard gain
1st-10, NYJ39 3:29 B. Favre incomplete pass down the middle
2nd-10, NYJ39 3:24 B. Favre passed to G. Lewis to the right for 33 yard gain
1st-6, NYJ6 3:24 Minnesota committed 5 yard penalty
1st-11, NYJ11 3:09 B. Favre passed to P. Harvin to the left for 11 yard touchdown. R. Longwell made PAT

Result - TD

Of course, Favre bumbled the next drive and with the final drive, it was over and the very last play was a Hail Mary.

So you see that as good as AP is, it was Favre's leadership that got the Vikings to actually put some points on the board. Chilly had the ball in AP's hands for most of the 1st half and got zero points. 20 points (missed 2 point conversion) in the 2nd half when it was mostly Favre.

If Chilly was smart, he'd balance out the game more with AP wearing down Ds and Favre doing the knock out punches. But he's too predictable and opponents I think know when he's going to run, which puts too much on AP.

In summary, the author's an idiot. RedSox is right. After 5 games, the Jets are my favorites to win it all this year. Of course, a lot can change. Regardless, Favre threw 3 TD passes against the best D in the NFL.
