Who says we aren't improving our team? Ahh yes because nothing happened within the first 48 hours with the Packers that means nothing is being worked on or planned out. Gosh, its good that the world has you because you know everything. Whew!

I can now jump on the whiny bitchy train with ya and co-pilot it!

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd back to reality ... it is frustrating, but I'd rather us not over pay for mediocre talent like I personally feel some teams are doing at a rapid pace. I've seen teams spend in a rush and not get them anywhere except losing their own main players. I'd really REALLY like to see us resign Jennings and Collins and THEN hit up the Free Agent market. I'm somewhat disappointed those two have not been extended yet. In fact I'm more disappointed in that than us not wheeling and dealing our future away. Imagine that one eh?

Ok back to reality like Zero said. We rushed and signed Rodgers and we don't know what we have for the long run, also where the hell is Jennings and Collins going they are tied up till 2011 as it stands right now even though their contracts are up after next season ( uncapped seasons players can't become unrestricted FA until they have 6 years in the league. I will never figure out why you guys can't comprehend that.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Doesn't matter if they are free to go else where or not. It is what will players want for paydays when not under a cap.

Anyone hearing this stuff about the Cassell trade? Billacheat took the 2nd rounder from the chiefs instead of the 12th pick in the 1st round. According to NFL network.

Like, they offered the first round pick but belichick said, "no. I want the second round pick instead"? weird!

Only reason for that would be he doesn't want to pay that high of a draft pick. but that is crazy talk!

actually Bozz its something to do with the Broncos new head coach was an assistant to billacheat last year. I think thats what they said something like that. Basically the purposed trade was the the Broncos get Cassell, Tampa gets Cutler and the Pats get the 12th pick. But either way the Pats have 4 picks in the 1st 2 rounds this year.

but it wasn't a three way trade though, was it? Denver didn't get in on it did they?

Thats what the purposed trade was Bozz. They even tried to get Minn and Detroit to do the 3 way trade but the other 2 backed out and only Tampa agreed to it.

Broncos | Cutler believes he's still headed out of town
Sat, 28 Feb 2009 18:58:00 -0800

Mike Klis, of the Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos QB Jay Cutler believes the team is still trying to trade him after rumors emerged that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had tried to trade for him. "My understanding at this point is they're trying to trade me," Cutler said Saturday, Feb. 28. "We'll see where I end up at. I liked it here, I liked playing with these guys but obviously they're not going to let me have that opportunity." Tampa Bay was believed to be offering a first-round pick for Cutler. In turn, the Broncos would have flipped that pick to the New England Patriots for QB Matt Cassel, who is now with the Kansas City Chiefs. Denver, however, wasn't the one to initiate the trade talks, which were started by the Buccaneers.

NFL | Teams showing interest in Warner
Sun, 01 Mar 2009 00:15:09 -0800

Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports free-agent QB Kurt Warner (Cardinals) has had a number of teams express interest in him, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein. Bartelstein, however, would not disclose what teams are interested. The San Francisco 49ers, as reported, are having Warner in for a visit Monday, March 2.

Could he end up in Detroit or Chicago ? I really don't see Chicago where he would have to play in the wind and cold, but what about Detroit where he gets at least 9 games played in a dome a year and has the freak CJ.

Good question, but if he lands in Chicago or Minnesota, I'm not worried. Warner is good, but really, look who he's throwing too. How many times did he just heave it up there and Fitz snag it down? If Lineart had more accuracy and quicker release he'd probably be doing just as good.

Zero2Cool (19m) : I would think it would hurt the home team because people would have to cancel last minute maybe? i dunno
beast (28m) : I agree that it's BS for fans planning on going to the game. But how does it bring in more money? I'm guessing indirectly?
packerfanoutwest (39m) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (1h) : I see what you did there Mucky
Zero2Cool (1h) : dammit. 3:25pm
Zero2Cool (1h) : Packers Vikings flexed to 3:35pm
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Upon receiving the news about Luke Musgrave, I immediately fell to the ground
Mucky Tundra (1h) : Yeah baby!
Zero2Cool (1h) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (3h) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (3h) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (3h) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (3h) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (4h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (4h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (4h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (4h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (4h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (4h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (4h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (4h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (4h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (4h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (4h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (4h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (4h) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (4h) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (4h) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (5h) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (5h) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (5h) : Packers will get in
beast (5h) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (5h) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (5h) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (6h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (8h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (8h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (9h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (17h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (18h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (18h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (21h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
