good point about the pro bowl RP. I never thought of it. Reggie White's decision to come to Green Bay was worth way more then just the talent he brought. He changed the way free agents look at Green Bay

I could not really give a hill of beans who wins the Pro Bowl, but one thing I wish and hope for is that Green Bay's contingent has been doing their job in Hawaii OFF THE FEILD....... Selling Green Bay Of Course.

My friend Hazer, would probably say it would be a waste of time and effort for Collins, Harris, and Woodson, but I hope they are doing a great JOB SELLING PLAYING IN GREEN BAY. It would make Ted's job a little easier.

However, I think it goes beyond that. any time you get that many leaders and pro bowlers in that atmosphere, I would hope that it would be a priority for Harris, Chuck, and Collins to sell Green Bay. To take away the myth that Green bay might as well be Greenland on the world map of the NFL.

There are 11 free agents in Hawaii I believe. Yes some may be tagged, but still.... Sell Green Bay.

I wonder if the Packers as an organization mentioned this to them. Asked them to bring the Positives Of Green Bay To Hawaii?

What do you think? Did They?

I actually brought that in another thread when i saw Portis recruiting hard and how TJ whosyourmamma is pushing to goto the Eagles and Fat Albert was pushing to goto the Colts. I wish we had someone there to push us but like i have said the circus last year and the bad image people (like me) have of Ted Thompson I think could hurt us. I said it back then and i still stand by it but i hope i'm wrong. Ted Thompson no matter what everyone tries to say is not a players gm and don't give to shits about them he looks at bargains and the money situation.

also I bet Thompson does give a shit about the players. Just he treats them like men and does baby them. And yes of course he does his job (which is part of the whole money thing).

Oh crap i did put coach ill have to fix that. I take it you didn't like my opinion that last years circus will hurt us with possible free agents?

I don't know why you would think that. I've been saying for years the Brett Favre has been hurting GB to bring in FAs with all the I'm not sure I will be coming back..... FAs have said they might of come to GB if they knew Favre was going to be back but they didn't know.

I think last years circus started after most of FA was over but after it started yes it hurt if there were any UFA.

I'm not sure if it would effect us for the future. I think it wouldn't that much since Rodgers looked very good.

Other players will see Ted Thompson as not playing favorites, and treating all players the same.
The "circus" wasn't all just TT's fault. I think the players see that, even if some fans don't.

I'm not saying it was all TT's fault but if you were a player wouldn't you want to come to a place where you have a little faith you will get some backing from the front office. I mean even Al thinks hes gone.

The one that intrigues me is Julius Peppers. He has clearly stated he wants to play in a 3-4 defense (probably outside linebacker), has stated he wants to play in Dom Capers defense (in a roundabout way)...

will we make a run at him? If we think Kampman is a natural for a 3-4 DE, I don't see how Thompson/McCarthy/Capers could say that Peppers isn't.
