Ok. The Pro bowl game roster has changed with umpteen number of players replacing players who were Bonafide Elected 2009 Pro Bowlers.
Vince Young is now on the Roster for example.
After the game is over and done with.... do the "Replacements" get to list on their resume that they were a 2009 NFL Pro Bowler. When in fact they were not.
Now this may seem like a silly little thing, but it does effect that players resume, the next time they Re-Up in negotiations, as well as the over all perception on their NFL Career once it is over as far as marketing dollars, and what they are willing to ask for an autograph sports Memorabilia appearances.
Five years after they are out of the game.. People will look at some of these guys as a "FORMER NLF PRO BOWL PLAYERS" When in-fact they were not. They were just the third or fourth choice to play due to injuries, and or choices by legit Pro Bowlers who chose to not play or could not play due to playing in the Superbowl that year?
Does any one know how this is clarified? Are replacements actually given the accolades of having a Pro Bowl Year in their official NFL Resume?
