I had no idea who Greg Jennings was. I'm going to just hope you're kidding and that you realize that guys like Jennings are an argument that Thompson has done a good job, not the other way around.

Hell with you all i will say it. I AM A Ted Thompson HATER, I HAVE BEEN FROM DAY ONE. You guys can say whatever you want and i really doubt it will change my mind, I haven't agreed with all the trading down he does in the draft, and then there hasn't been many picks i have agreed with all together, how many of you people can honestly say they knew who Greg Jennings was when he was drafted? How many people threw stuff at the tv when he drafted Bustin instead of a back or TE that everyone said we needed? So once again i am a Ted Thompson Hater and proud of it :p

As said right above me, Jennings makes the case FOR Ted Thompson, not against him.

I was perplexed by the Harrell pick, but I was SO happy it wasn't Greg Olsen that I was willing to forgive him at the time.

The Rodgers pick turned out to be money.

What RB did you want?

Don't think that is the exact context of the stance.

Moreso.. there seems to be a resistance to Free Agents coming to Green Bay when an equal opportunity is available elsewhere.

Granted some of the players that turned us down, it probably worked out in our favor. Here are a few and it is a small pool since we don't target many FA.

Justin Griffin - FB, choose Oakland over us.
Lavar Arrington - OLB - Choose NYG over us. (Huge blessing 😉 )
Terrelle Smith - FB - Choose the Cards over us.

Two of the three above I know we offered more coin to (according to press releases and comments) come here..

Then couple that with Woodson and his admitted reluctance to come here and you have an foot to argue against.

Sprinkle Gregg Williams on top this offseason and you now have an arguable trend.

I can see the position, if one has an open mind, you certainly can understand why some would be skeptical at this point.

One winning season in four, 500 at best in attracting FA, and a stigma around the league.

Personally I see the situations in which these events occurred and in my opinion can justify why each happened, but that is my decision and opinion.

I disagree with calling out people as "haters", they have an opinion, and there are some events that can support their views.

Just like some of the folks that see no wrong in Ted, both sides step over the line into the irrational.

We know there are some that just come to flame and bait, but there are those that hold an opinion of distrust in the performance of Ted and Mike McCarthy.. as long as they are basing it off facts and events.. why can't they have that opinion.

Want my honest opinion.. there is little chance that we run out as sign a "headliner" free agent this season.. unless they come at a bargain number.. it is just the way we operate.

So what is wrong with Buckeye stating the same opinion?

It is time for the sparing within the Packer fan hood to cease, start to repair the wounds of the last five years, and in the very least start to accept that others hold varied opinions and debate them on a civil level. Don't ya think!!!

+1.

I'm an optimist. I'm looking forward to the '09 season, especially now that we're going 3-4, something I wanted to happen for awhile now but I've been keeping silent because of the "everything is rosy, nothing is wrong" people.

But there are "TT can't do anything wrong" people on this board who think you can't criticize the current regime. At all. After all, they're pros and they get paid to do this.

Well, newsflash to you all - professionals make mistakes. Yes, in the real world, there are people who get paid to do things that actually make mistakes doing them. I know that's hard to comprehend but it happens.

I consider myself pretty fair with evaluations. Woodson pickup - awesome. Pickett - awesome. Drafting Justin Harrell in the 1st round - dumb. Thinking Harrell can replace Corey Williams - very dumb. Dom Capers and going to 3-4? Looking forward to it.

I also think as I've been saying ALL SEASON LONG that we need to maintain a higher level of aggression. We've lost games all season long where we had the teams up against the ropes and failed to knock them out because we refused to give them that knock out punch. That needs to stop. Now. We need to finish games.
