Matt Schneidman says Packers should move up from 23 to 14 and take Round 1, Pick 14 (trade with Colts): Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona and I think he's a dummy head. He's sending 23rd overall and 54th overall to get up to 14 and also getting a 5th rounder in return.

Packers get
14th overall (1st)
151st overall (5th)

Colts get
23rd overall (1st)
54th overall (2nd)

Okay, he's not a dummy head, but let's put Jaire Alexander in that 2nd round pick compensation slot.

Packers get
14th overall (1st)
80th overall (3rd)

Colts get
23rd overall (1st)
CB Jaire Alexander

Now who's the dummy head? haha

What says you? Do you think this trade is something the Packers would do? In 2020 they liked Justin Jefferson and Brandon Aiuyk, but both were gone before they picked. Do they go aggressive to 'get their guy' ?

Some love him and call him Top 10. Others are a little cool on him. The Consensus Big Board has him falling. He was 5th at one time. Now they have him 11th. (That's not horrible.) They have him being drafted by Dallas at 12 and Schneidman thinks he will still be there at 14.

In the Yahoo column What happened to the Tetairoa McMillan hype?

Despite the consensus love, McMillan isn’t without detractors or question marks. Both Brugler and Harmon touch on why some evaluators — and potentially some NFL teams — see McMillan sliding a bit from the “lock top-10” label he wore early in the process.

McMillan’s 4.53 forty at his pro day surprised nobody who watched him in college, but it did accentuate that he wins with nuance, not raw speed. Brugler notes, "He’s not a burner. We know that. ... He is a little bit raw as a route runner ... he’s probably more finesse than truly aggressive. ... There’s just a big jump between the Big 12 and what he’ll face in the NFL."

Both analysts agree McMillan might be best as an elite No. 2, which (somewhat unfairly) suppresses his top-10 ceiling. Harmon said: "He’s probably best if he’s your really, really good number two ... those guys can kind of share that "Who’s the 1A and who’s the 1B title" and provide a really dynamic duo."

It’s also worth mentioning the 2025 class doesn’t have the same top-heavy WR talent as last year’s legendary group. Brugler specifically says if McMillan were in last year’s class, he’d be ranked behind Brian Thomas Jr., but in this year’s group, that’s a borderline top-10, top-12 valuation.

If he is truly a relatively slow #2 I wouldn't want to give up too much for him. In otherwards, I would add a 4th but not a second to move up 9 spots.

I like the trade construct. I am not as thrilled about the player or the position targeted. I would prefer a lineman.
Go Packers!!!!

“I don’t trust him … Tet didn’t like to work out and practice hard unless a scout was in attendance. Showed up on the routes: quitting on balls over the middle of the field. Didn’t think he showed attention to details”

That's from Todd McShay.

I definitely do not want them to do this. Stay at 23 or move back a small bit dependent upon the offer. Heck, I've passed this kid several times in my various mocks at 23 because I saw superior options in my opinion.

Tetairoa McMillan on the Packers: “They’ve been showing me nothing but love throughout this whole draft process.”

Later added: “I feel like I could fit in any offense well. But this one specifically, yeah.”

Is Tetairoa McMillan also the WR that said he doesn't watch film or something like that?

Update, yeah.

“I don’t like watching film either. ... I don’t ever need to watch it by myself because we go over it as a receiver group,” McMillan said in an offseason documentary video.

Mucky Tundra (4h) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (5h) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (6h) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
