It was a tough day for me.....went to the doctor. Mt diabetes is all messed up, 6 month average at 260. Should be 120 or less.

REALLY high blood pressure.......so now i have to take meds for that.

Cholesterol through the roof.....more meds......and i have to see a cardiologist.
I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Oh well.......what can i do?I have to start the meds and see the doc agian in 2 weeks.
Thats when he wants to set me up for a heart stress test. But he doesn't want to do so till he gets my blood pressure down, so i don't have a heart attack or stroke.
I'm supposed to "take it easy" until then.......no exercise........geez.......just what i need......more crap.

Oh.....then i get in the car to go to the doc, and because it's so cold out here, the throttle is stuck and darn near blows up the engine.
Fortunately the old 92 Pontiac starts and i don't miss my appt.
When i got hom, it warmed up enough to unstick the throttle.

But the headlight blew out, and one of the rear turn signals won't work....and it's not the bulb. The inside of the bulb holder is corroded. So i have to try to get into the dealership to see if i can get that all fixed.
Oh.......and the heater fan keeps cutting out..........geez.
Maybe a heart attack would give me a break away from the other crap!

Sorry for complaining.......i have no one else to complain too, as my poor wife is in this too. She's worried about me, and she still has to go to work.

Sorry for unloading this crap on all of you.

Stay positive Cheesey. Life is full of ups and downs, and this just another bump along the road.

You should send this story to Ted Thompson and explain how the Packers losing season has impacted your health.

Look at the bright side Cheesemaestro.
You are still taking air.
You ain't in one of those dreadful "nursing homes".
Your wife still has a job.
You aren't in a coma.
And best of all you have all of us great Packer fans to inspire each and every day.
Up here in the good old U.P. I have 16 below zero on my thermometer, they say the wind chill is -30 degrees and evey school including Northern Michigan University is closed.

And I have to put the garbage out by the curb.

My best wishes to you my friend, I hope all goes well for you!!!!!!!!!!

Cheer up Chees, it'll get better. I hope none of this leads to you cutting down on your packershome-browsing time, because I'd hate to see a day where I don't laugh to at least one of your jokes.

we're also at -16 in central illinois & every school is closed here as well.

now back to cheesey...i'm not gonna give you a pep talk, tell you to cheer up & that everything's gonna be alright. reality is, you have some serious health issues & quite frankly, i'm proud that you're actually doing something about them. all you can do is continue going to the doc, taking the meds, & live your life. i know it gets depressing but - it is what it is. go with the flow & do what the doc says. that's an order, my friend!!!!!!!

Illy is right...

Just do what doc says there are tons od people taking those meds and are fine....

The car....I would go to the library, see if they have a repair manual for your car and figure out the light issue. Or go to an auto zone or another car place that has the Chilton books and read thru it

You wanted to let out the problems going on and that must have helped a lot and a big relief...

I wish I could do that..but if I did that, I would write a 5 page story 😛

When I want to visit her, I have to go to the cemetery. You're much better off than you think.

It just felt good to get it off my chest.
As a few know on here, i have lots of crap wrong with me, and it just gets frustrating sometimes. Believe me.....i KNOW there are many that have it worse then me. But hey......I'm only human. Everyone has a breaking point.
Oh well.........
got the car fixed today. $276.
Had them replace both headlights right away, as the other one, the daytime running light wasn't working, so i figured it would be going soon too. The resistor for the heater fan had to be replaced. The tailight holder had to be replaced.
On most cars, i could change a headlight myself. But the way they designed the Cavalier is just plain stupid. You have to take apart so much, it's crazy. And being below zero outside with no garage made me even TRYING it impossible.
Just another unexpected bill. But i'm thankful my disability check came yesterday, so i could pay for it.

The way all American cars are made is just stupid. I had to pay over $1100 this month to get some stuff fixed on my Lumina.

I'm sorry to hear about your ill health, Cheesey. If there's anything we can do to help you feel better, let us know.

I agree.

Tell Ted Thompson that unless the Packers make the Playoffs in '09, he has to pay your medical bills and your pills in '10. Maybe that will get us that stud DL and we'll all be happier.

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : uh oh

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : The method for measuring first downs in the NFL will switch from chain gangs to camera-based technology in 2025, the league announced.
Martha Careful (1-Apr) : A big step in the right direction. Just put in the college system is very very good.

Zero2Cool (1-Apr) : Touchbacks on kickoffs will now bring the ball to the 35-yard line.
